They did an ultrasound and found out that my dog had cancer in his liver. He had just had tests done at Hudson vet and they gave him medications to reduce his liver inzymes but that was it, it was way too late, my dog was close to death. The vet should have informed me that my dog was dying. The emergency vet clinic wanted over $7000 dollars and said that his treatments might not work. I called Hudson vet the next day and was told that the Dr. was too busy to see my dog but would have a discussion with me. It was a waste of time! My dog died a few days later, what vet refuses to see a dog who is close to death?? She knew all along that my dog was going to die and she said nothing to me, made no recomendations other than medication that he wouldn't take because he was too advanced. This hospital was the worst that I ever experienced! I am happy that the doors are locked! Take you pet to the croton animal hospital and you will receive expert care!

We researched and found Lap of Love, and we are so grateful. We called and spoke to Kayla Johnson, veterinary care coordinator. She was so empathetic, kind, and caring. She answered all of our questions and went above and beyond. She coordinated for Dr. Connie to visit our come to help our sweet Lyla girl "cross the rainbow bridge." It was one of the worst days of my life and some of the worst grief I've ever experienced. Dr. Connie was so thoughtful, empathetic, sweet, and caring. She shaved a small piece of fur for us (which I requested), and was so thoughtful in getting a spot with all of our girl's colors while also being respectful to Lyla. She took the most beautiful paw print in clay that we will cherish forever. We chose to have a private cremation for Lyla and we picked up the ashes from our vet in a beautiful engraved wooden box. From the first phone call we made to lap of love, to the very end of recieving the ashes, the communication has been very thorough, empathetic, helpful, and warm. Thank you Lap of Love. My experience with Millwood Animal Hospital was unfortunate and disappointing. The veterinarians…read morefailed to provide adequate treatment and did not do proper or full examination for my dog which resulted in a missed diagnosis. When I brought my dog in, they examined him for 30 seconds, prescribed gabapentin and told me he would be fine. After getting a second opinion I learned my dog had a serious condition that could have been diagnosed earlier had the veterinarians paid better attention. Despite my best efforts, my dog passed away three months later. Before going to this Animal Hospital, please do your research! Millwood Animal needs to have better treatment procedures and standards. Clients should not need to get a second opinion because the first vet was too lazy to do a legitimate exam.
