The name is deceiving. This a kolache shop that has the usual assortment of kolaches, pre made breakfast sandwiches and donuts not a sit down restaurant with a full breakfast menu. Visiting from out of state and saw this place had maple bacon donuts on the menu so I stopped by. Didn't see any in the display case and was just going to order regular maple donuts. I asked when they usually make them (so I'd know when to come back) and the cashier said "we make them to order! It takes just a minute or two." And so off I went with my maple bacon donuts. 100% recommended! The donut itself was fluffy, coated in the perfect amount of maple icing, and the bacon had the right amount of chewiness and crisp. It's you average mom and pop donut shop. I like the measureing stick of donuts their regular glaze. its a cross between the dense "Dunkin style" donuts and a shipleys donut. Their sausage kolaches are similar to the style that get at Shipleys. its a sausage link encased in bread with a Kraft single...tastey for what it is. Well, okay. First thing you have to understand: by "sausage" they mean "hot dog". So when you order a sausage and cheese kolache (which is really a klobasnek, but that matters not), for instance, you're going to get a hot dog kolache. Which is kinda weird for breakfast. After that is known and you get over the initial where-is-my-sausage-this-is-not-sausage shock the experience gets much better. The bread-pastry around the hot dog is soft and fresh. You get a sprinkling of warm doughnut holes with your order. I don't even like doughnuts much (blasphemy!) but these were really fresh and really good. The coffee is hot and fresh-tasting. The service is great (it's been mentioned in other reviews, but it's worth mentioning again)--we chose to eat in (there are really only about 4 tables, only one with 3 chairs, the rest with 2...so don't expect to take a big group there to sit down or anything) and the woman behind the counter asked to refill my coffee cup maybe 4-5 times. I wasn't drinking it that quickly since it was piping hot, but I appreciate the effort. This place is cute and it got busy in waves throughout the hour. Lots of people go there with a kid in tow, and it seemed to be a ritual stop for some adorable older couples. Definitely a local breakfast spot--though it's more of a grab-and-go place than an eat-in place. Adjust your expectations and this turns out to be fresh, tasty, and convenient. I've probably been here at least 10 times within the last 6 months. It's absolutely delicious and the service is outstanding, not to mention the prices are unbeatable. The kids and I went for a quick late breakfast sandwich. We got there right when they were going to close. Two of us ordered croissant sandwich and one of us got a biscuit sandwich. They were basic breakfast sandwiches but very good. They weren't greasy which was very nice. This place is so reasonably priced. We got the three sandwiches, two donuts, a few donut holes and two drinks and it was less than $12. The donuts some of the best, freshest donuts we've ever had.
