Fast and friendly service. The donuts and kolaches are excellent. They are open early, although different sources show different times. They also have coffee and some drinks available. No all places have the boudin, this place does and I like it. Its not fancy but it has what you need for a good donut or kolache. read more

Westco is a staple. They have the best kolaches! I always get the blueberry donut, apple fritter, and cheese and jalapeño kolache. I feel they have changed their blueberry donut recipe and it's just not as potent as a blueberry flavor anymore. I love this place. $5 minimum on card just FYI read more

Absolutely delicious We were on our way out of town. Stopped here for breakfast on the go. DELICIOUS We ordered croissant sandwiches. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese and my husband had an egg, cheese, and sausage sandwich. Both sandwiches are absolutely delicious. Hit the spot to start our three day weekend road trip. We, of course, had to order donut holes - which are also a great bite size treat. Customer service was outstanding. Pleasant and responsive. Love this place! Soft kolaches and a great selection of donuts. Never had any issues here and we've been several times.

Donuts are good, but do NOT order a taco. I ordered a potato, egg, and cheese. I received a MASHED potato with some cheese. NO EGG. Who wants to eat mashed potato in a tortilla with cheese in the morning. Will probably come back for the donuts if I don't find another place, but I'm not trusting any of the savory foods. read more

Worst service ever. 3 strikes and we're out. Never going back after giving them 2 chances because they are very close. Rudest person on earth. Yells at customers to hurry up even kids looking for one they like. Ruder than a fart in a crowded elevator. Not even a thank you for your order. Went there yesterday morning about 9am. I was very happy saying good morning to the customers etc. The Asian lady there was not friendly at all. She brought me down so fast. She was like what do you want ? Is that all what else do you want $ 10 and fifty cents . Not a good morning or a thank you or anything. What a bummer. In my opinion, its hard for a donut shop to be BAD. And on the same hand, very few donut places hit a 5 star too. So why a 4 for this shop? Selection was smallish. A lot of the same stuff. I know everyone has their own taste and you can glaze, ice (in many varieties), sprinkle, nuts, or just leave plan any type of donut. But in my mind, that doesn't add variety. A 5 star donut shop needs to have a cruller, which this Westco does not. The apple fritter is another staple, while just about everyone has an apple fritter few do it to perfection. I give the Westco apple fritter an "ok to decent". Don't hesitate to stop in and grab some fried goodness. This place was well stocked at 8AM on a Sunday. I was surprised at the amount of visitors that came and went while I was there. Everyone seemed pleased and the employees were all very nice. The lady helping me was very hard to understand, but this can be a common issue at donut shops.... so no harm. Its my own fault that I typically just answer "yes" after I've said a few "what did you say?"s. I lucked out, my complusive-don't want to sound rude "yes" got my kolaches warmed! What's a 5 star donut shop? Doesn't help us Texans.... but the Donut Man in Glendora, CA. I will give Westco donuts an extra "hurrah" though, they take credit cards INCLUDING Amex, and there was no minimum sign. Good for you, Westco! read more

Stopped in here trying to cheer my kids up from a disappointment (not being able to enroll in school due to system down). The kilochies were great, however, we also bought 12 doughnut holes & 4 other iced doughnuts and drinks. I spent exactly $18. I have never tasted such disgusting doughnuts in my life. I asked my kids if their doughnuts tasted strange and they said yes (I'm not willing to chance it again). There is something wrong with the oil or the recipe of these doughnuts. I won't be surprised if my whole family gets sick from these. I'm not one to leave negative reviews, I just think it's important people know that they should NOT buy the doughnuts from this shop. Waste of money because you won't want to eat your doughnut(s) after the first bite. read more

I have been here on several occasions and the staff are NOT friendly. Today, February the 26th, the cashier roller her eyes, huffed and said a few words under he breath after one of my requests. What kind of customer service is that? I will NEVER come back or recommend this donut shop. read more

This rating is not for the food it is good it is for there customer service the lady in this establishment on FM 359 is very rude. They forgot to put my food in the bag with my kids food I saw her when she put in the microwave up top. When I got out to my car and we were passing out food mine was missing son went in to tell her mine was missing and could she check microwave she would not I went in and she would not check for me either told you got your food and was rude about it. Been going there for years no matter how good food is I will not patronize this Westco again plus they do not charge everyone the same did not believe my kids till I saw one worker charged one daughter a little more for the same thing than the other daughter. So if you one who don't pay attention when they people ring you up pay attention there. read more

I don't like overly sweet stuff, so I actually enjoyed the blueberry donuts. The Grove donuts which is just down on Plantation and Harlem is a bit better though to be honest. read more

One star when it should be 0 stars but I have to give it a star to post this. I went in to get a kolache today and behind the counter was a small child picking off of the donuts in the sales/ display counter. He was picking and eating off of the donuts that were for sale to the public..... Eeeeew! I watched the lady pull the donuts out of the display case while I was there and when I left I sat in my car and watched her put them back in the display case. Been coming here for years since I live in the area. It's a neighborhood donut and kolache shop. Period. If you want fancy donuts and pastries you can drive a little farther. Here, it's good Kolaches and classic donuts and donut holes along with a couple extra things. They ask for 5 dollar minimum on cards but if you are close they don't raise a fuss. Unlike other locations they are rarely out of stock. I've been there as late as 1030 and they still had some Kolaches and donuts. Service goes a long way with me and they provide it. read more

IMHO, this Westco has the best donuts in Houston. Their glaze, jelly filled, Bavarian cream and sour cream cake donuts are awesome. Their offerings are always fresh and service prompt. Their glaze are firm and fluffy not soft and soggy like Shipley's. Great donuts and prices. read more

The customer service here is appalling, been here a few times and the donuts are okay, not bad, but not great either. Came here this morning March 29th and the cashier was incredibly rude, not just to me but the man in front of us as well! She rolled her eyes at him and mumbled rudely under her breath to which he replied that he would not be returning. Now it was our turn in the roasting chair! My wife asked for custard filled donut, the woman stated "no filled donuts". We saw in the case that there were obviously filled donuts and my wife asked "what kinds are those" to which the cashier responded "nothing you will like" while rolling her eyes right in front of us! My wife just decided to get our kids some of the frosted and sprinkled donuts our kids wanted. Last time we went there the same lady stuffed all of our frosted and sprinkled donuts in one bag, and when we got home they we're all stuck together and the frosting was coming off most of them. So my wife politely asked for a box this time so that we could avoid a big sticky mess. The cashier said "you have to get 6 or more" so we obliged and ordered a couple glazed to get a box. At which time she still tried to put them in the bag with her back to us, trying to be sneaky, it was crazy! My wife said "ma'am we really need them in a box please". The lady then tossed our donuts into the box while muttering "boxes and filled donuts, psssh". Then rolled her eyes at us again, needless to say, we will not be returning to this place ever again. If you live in the Richmond area, take the time to drive the extra mile and a half and go to The Grove, they are amazing and really appreciate their customers. read more
