Maybe it's the authentic tortillas or the largely filled tacos. Definitely was a bang for our buck. Got a single pancake on the side and that filled the sweet tooth. Additionally, this spot is down in Rosenberg and has been here for years. It's a local spot with hospitable service. The decor was probably my favorite spot, really wrote the history of the place. Walking in you see loads of signs, from Astros memorabilia, street signs, even a poster of Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive Inns, and Dives! The owner greeted us and we were seated promptly. It was busy on a Sunday for breakfast. I got a few breakfast tacos and some menudo to try. The breakfast tacos were gigantic, on soft and fluffy handmade tortillas. They were filled to the brim. I got a Gerald, mexican eggs and bacon, a bacon, egg, and potato, and 1 barbacoa. They were all delicious and the salsas were so good. I am not a big menudo fan but theirs is tasty, rich, loaded with tripe, hominy, and the broth was red from the chilis. I also tried some of the pancakes, so warm fluffy and delicious. A great place to grab a breakfast taco. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was iffy, but the place is kind of vintage cool.

Food is made from scratch. Men's restroom is outside of the restaurant while the women's is inside. Have made the drive from Pasadena a few times and food is always delicious! Servers are so friendly. Establishment is welcoming. On this visit, I did see a lady with a dog that was wearing a service vest, lying on the ground in the restaurant. Had the 3 tacos and tea. Love the decor. I will be back. We walked the main strip visited antique shops and then attended the local food truck festival. Had breakfast with my dad,June 27th Saturday morning right at open,waited awhile for service,ordered half dozen pork tamales myself waited about 20 mins for my food just to get really soft tamales that were slimy absolutely disgusting don't recommend at all,on the other hand my father got pancakes and luckily saved me half of his and was really delicious but how could you mess that up smh. read more

I've been coming to Bob's since I was kid, and since moving out of Texas I hadn't been in years...Just ate there this morning and lucky for me it hasn't changed a bit! Their flour tortillas are SO soft and delicious, and the breakfast tacos are wonderful! Served with homemade salsa and so many different options there's something for everyone. The tamales are also so delicious and not to be missed. Anyone complaining about Bob's food should move out of Texas to fully appreciate how good they have it here with Tex-Mex! I had the migas which were bland, potatoes from a bag and refried beans which were the best part of the plate. The corn tortillas are fresh. Pancakes were really good. Chips and salsa were just ok. The bummer was service. We had a really bad waiter. Just not into his job. Forgot is pretty much. We had to ask another waitress for chips and salsa we ordered. I have been a patron of Bob's for over 20 years. Every Christmas my family wants to be sure I pick up some of Bob's Tamales for our Christmas party, and I have for years and years, as they have always been delicious. This year was a bad experience. You'll get better service and better food went to get breakfast. Our go to is the Tex mex plate which has tamale, cheese enchilada, rice and beans with a hard shell taco. Hubby always subs the taco for carne guisada. Bobs has upgraded the place recently, used to be worn down place with so many fun signs on the wall. While those signs are still there they now have a margarita bar & linens on the table. Yummy, good home Mexican cooking. A true good hole in the wall restaurant with great Spanish omelette and good but not great tacos. Been in business for 30 years. Lots of memobialla on the walls. Food was prepared rapidly. Service was good to excellent. Salsa and Vergo salsa were also good. We were seated immediately by a waitress and I had the Spanish omelette. Right on the edge of being great. The taco was also good but lacked more cheese. This is true downtown Raymond/Roseburg and this small place is a whole in the wall. They charge you extra for chips and salsa (depending on what you are ordering) then are rude enough to make sure everyone knows at the table the chips and salsa are only for a certain person at the table (because it came with their food) My stepdaughter's chorizo looked like a dog puked it up. I saw this restaurant on Guy Fieri show Triple D's! So we got in the car and took that 40 minute drive because Guy never fails me. It was so worth the drive! Cool part is I ended up sitting in the perfect spot a picture of Guy was right next to my head So I ordered the Triple D plate! It's Carne Guisada, 1 tamale with gravy and cheese, 1 crispy ground beef taco, rice and beans and some fresh hot tortillas! The carne guisada was so tender I was eating it by itself lol. Think they were off today at breakfast. I love this place and have bragged on their crispy tacos for many years to anyone who would listen about where the best Mexican food is in Houston area. But this morning it was off. Shells were thick, not thin and almost translucent like in past visits. One of my tacos was delivered with a broken shell . I'm a Houstonian who doesn't live here any longer and I know my way around the Houston food scene. Bob's to me is so authentic and the service is friendly and good, but when I visit, I go with people who are locals in Richmond/Rosenberg.
