During our conversations he suggested helping me in all aspects of this type of fishing including accompanying me on an outing with the promise to help pay $50 for a portion of the fuel cost, but failed to do so. Griffin also brought is friend, Sonny. To reciprocate my gesture I was offered an opportunity to join Griffin on an outing on one of the boats he guides. I patiently waited for over a year with repeated requests for him to deliver on his promise, it was clear he had no intention of reciprocating. I'm not one to stand by and be taken for granted. It has become apparent that Griffin lacks integrity, accountability and credibility. He even went as far as to threaten and instructed his friend Sonny to harass me sending messages with threats, further demonstrating childish and immature behavior.

After doing business in the other store, I came to visit Valhalla and I was greeted by Markus who ended up being fantastic to me. He helped me look for a particular type of pants that I was looking for, and although they did not have it, he suggested some brands that may carry the hiking pants that I wanted. Later on, I was looking at the shoes and he came by and pointed out some that were on sale from last season and I ended up buying a pair of hiking sandals that I absolutely love. He helped me try them on and I knew immediately they were coming home with me. The store has a huge selection of outdoor stuff and I will definitely be buying more from them in the future.

Hub Sports is a business that provides all of this and more. It's not a large location, however Hub manages to pack a great deal of well organized gear between its walls. Prices are reasonable, however the free advice is worth a few dollars mark up on some of their gear, when compared against some of the big box retailers. If you just want to fool around fishing, by all means go to Wal-Mart, and spend $60.00 on a rod / reel combo. However if you want some friendly old guy to give you a basic run down of what lures / bait to use for what species of fish you're after, go to Hub. The old timers may even share a few secret fishing locations with you, if you're personable.

I found a really nice set of buoyant glass floats for only $12.95 (found the same one online for $40)! Went back a few times to this store to pick up more items to bring back to friends. Their prices are lower than most souvenir shops and the couple who manages the store are locals who are friendly and very helpful. They did not hesitate to recommend points of interests and restaurants to try. They like tourists!
