She had always reached out if there was a problem. I had home and auto discount (to me a bundle). We have had mail problems so I relied on my agent over the years if there was a problem. That's why I was loyal. Turns out they auto renewed my auto but not my home. Makes no sense. Did the card on file expire... was it an old card on file that was replaced from being lost on vacation. Really doesn't matter now as we were canceled and can't get it back as we are "new" customers after being with them for many years. Beyond disappointed. Will seek counsel but don't see anything we can do.

BUT what you forget upon getting your insurance here is the small details that create big headaches. For example, this place(including in manteca) can never answer my calls in a timely matter on open hours(or at all), which is frustrating for easily communicating with your insurance in times of need(you only really call when you need something usually dire). In addition, my experience with filing a claim has even lead my claim agent confused on what broker i had, and how i can across to that insurance. To cancel my policy i had to call the parents company directly, because nobody would pickup my calls. I had to make a new listing, since Lee Hoddy is not listed in Yelp. I have had my car insurance policy with Lee Hoddy for about 10 years. My parents also have their car insurance policies as well as their homeowners and life insurance through Farmers as well. When we purchased a home last year, we added them as our homeowner policy insurance. The neat thing is, the more things you insure, the lower your rates are. Also, the lower the rates will be for any of your family members who take out policies. I don't know if they are actually the cheapest insurance but, I know we all get great deals, and the customer service is unbeatable. The number one reason I don't shop around to see if I can get a cheaper policy is because Donna Dermond in the office is the absolute coolest lady ever! I actually make it a point to go down to the office when my bill is due, or call her in person to pay, just so I can chat with her for a few minutes. She is not only friendly but she wants us to get the best possible rates we can. And Lee is also a very friendly, helpful agent. I was in the first car accident of my life earlier this year ( I wasn't at fault...), and the way Farmers, Donna in particular, helped me through what was one of the scariest, most stressful times of my life, reiterated the reason I've stayed with Farmers all these years and will continue to stay with them. Just because one insurance company uses a cute lizard that talks with an Australian accent, doesn't mean they're better than the other guy...

The written request was refused by Pam Stephens. Her suggested alternative was not viable either as it would have required me to sign a false/erroneous document. When I tried to explain why she hung up on me in mid-sentence. Completely unprofessional behavior by Pam. I ended up contacting the insurance carrier directly to get the policy cancelled, which finally occurred. Much time wasted dealing with this simple request. She asked for all my details, sent me the official "Policy Change Request - Certification Form," and told me in writing that I was already covered and would receive a new proof of insurance card in two weeks. Weeks passed with no card. When it finally arrived, it still listed my old vehicle. Instead of fixing it, she told me to call the company myself and claimed she had told me that "three times." At no point in the beginning did she say she could not complete the change. Her own words made it sound like she was handling it, and only after nothing was done did she shift the responsibility back to me. This was misleading, unprofessional, and an absolute waste of time.
