What a fun store, employees almost seem bored and dying to talk to someone who would listen. Show us around the store and were helpful but not pushy. Their prices aren't the lowest but they seem about the going rate for most things and they sure have a huge selection of unique items.. If you're near and have time go visit. Tony read more

Truant officers in Payson beware--you might take lessons from these old Bitties before they get you first! Over Labor Day weekend, we took a road trip to Payson. We've lived in Phx for the last few years and thought we'd go up the road out of the heat and see what's there. We stopped at this antique place on the highway at Western Villiage. Its the one with the old covered wagon in the front parking lot. Truly not much for antiques. We arrived and started looking around. Turns out the shop owners weren't there but 3 or 4 old bitties on duty were arguing over where the owner wanted some items displayed (alpha dog thing going on). Then we walked toward the back of the shop at the jewelry--- Bitty No 2 informed us the shop was practically new, that the owners were actually moving things up there from Cave Creek and Sedona--combining inventories if you will. That made sense as the shop had the feel of a co-op--they segregated items to the point you felt like you might be purchasing them from different vendors. Here's where it gets good--"ahemmmmm", bad. The good is that right before my eyes I saw something glittery, in fact, very princess like! Nice! A choir of angels (LaaaaaAAAAAAAAA) could be heard for miles over this glitzy light. There were some of the prettiest crystal necklaces and bracelets I've seen--color radiated and bounced off of them in a magical way! Just as I was getting closer to really check them out--(enter Bad here) Alpha Bitty showed up and halfway raised her voice telling all of us that the store had actually closed 20 minutes earlier but that they were so busy working (bickering, really) they missed the closing time so all of us (5 of us customers were browsing in the area--I wasn't the only chick wanting to see the princess glam!) were going to have to leave right away. While telling us we could come back tomorrow--she herded all of us to the front and out the door--felt like I was being escorted by a highschool truant officer down to the office for uttering a naughty phrase in class!! Like dead men walking we somberly went out the door and to our cars. So, no crystal jewelry set for me and no sale that day or any day going forward from me for you, Western Village. Instead of allowing me to take home a prize from your store that day remembering Payson in all her glory, I took nothing but this memory! It'll be a really cold day (I'm talking arctic-icy-friggin-nose-hair freezing, eye-ball-watering cold day--not Payson cold day) in h*%$ before I stop in there again--who pushes potential sales out the door like that anyway?? read more

Holy crap they have a lot of stuff! Some old some new. I was hoping for some small affordable things but i felt like most was a bit overpriced. $200-$900 for paintings, prints etc, even cute wooden signs were well over $20 and even magnets were about $10....yikes! But still fun to go look. read more

It was an amazing adventure. Pleasant visual overload. You have to slow down and really look. Which is a good thing. The owner, Sue, is a wonderful person and she exudes a spirit that is good and pure and in the now. How refreshing. I say go and see for yourself, either you'll get it or you won't.
