I did not see any "security dogs" like in one of the other reviews. There was a cute little dog named Sparky who was really friendly. Lots of stuff. We went in today because it's the first time we have ever seen it open. read more

Large inventory; plenty to sort thru. Staff was easy to deal with. Lot's of knives.

The inventory here is great and there's a lot to look through. However, they're only open on Saturdays (sometimes Sundays?) and it's incredibly frustrating as I never make it up to Payson in time. At this point just sell the business to someone else or hire staff to open up more than just one day. read more

If you love animals, I highly suggest you boycott this place and pass it on. The owner keeps two German shepherds on his property at all times who have no shelter from the cold (it's winter as I write this) and who knows if they have water somewhere that isn't frozen. He keeps them on as cheap security. His yelp hours say he is open only on the weekends which means no one is there to feed and care for the dogs Monday through Friday. When one of the dogs dies, he just replaces with another and this has been going on for YEARS. His shop does have a ton of stuff but it is so insanely over-priced and hardly ever open. As a business owner, he is not at all friendly to his customers and I felt more like I was intruding when I visited than anything. read more

So this is going to be a unique one... Three stars, specifically for the fact that it's so extremely limited to see it open, if at all on the weekends and the owners and incredibly unfriendly. Makes you wonder why they even have a business at all? But also because the inventory here is mind boggling! For ALL things Americana; this is the place. It's only opened up on weekends, if at that. The elderly couple is a discernibly curmudgeonly old duo. Not many courtesies from them, including a smile, even if you warmly walk in WITH a smile. We were shocked at the owners attitudes and can't say this is a recommended spot to speak with the locals and learn about yesteryear with. When traveling and socialising with the local businesses, my wife and I enjoy the chance to meet and greet and learn from them. Not these two. They don't care to talk or socialize. Forget asking for discounts too, LOL. Not here... So, with the reference to the business, this place is a museum's dreamland. The artifacts, history, cast iron from the late 1800's, frontier era guns, hand crafted ceramics, and early Americana, is absolutely astounding on the eyes. I kid you not, most items here are in history books, and some are likely not! Though I've come back a time or two, know that there is zero local hospitality here. That aside, if you're a historical seeker of items, you certainly WANT to come here on the weekend and check this out. Bring cash, they don't talk in any other language. read more

The customer service is unfriendly and not helpful. I had some questions about their items for sale and I felt like I was inconveniencing them. I was considering spending several hundred dollars in items for my home office. I was hoping to find out a little more information on their merchandise so I could make the right decision before spending that kind of money. I was told that everything was written on the wall, but it was not. One of the reasons I was looking for help was because of how the store was organized and their product placement. The store had mixed in their actual antiques with cheap, foreign made items. The antique and fake mixed in merchandise is packed in there together and placed high up on the walls. I just wanted to see their real antiques and not have to spend hours with my neck at a 100 degree angle. I want to see what the business has and then make my decision to buy or not. I am not going to spend hours in a crammed, hot, small space when I came up from the valley to enjoy the great outdoors. There could easily be issues with egress in an emergency. I am surprised the fire marshall allows that place to operate under those standards. A few recommendations to the business: Put your real antiques in one section and then put your novelty items in another. Improve your parking lot accessibility since it's not easy to pull in. Improve the grade when pulling in so that anyone coming from the north side of the road won't scrape their vehicle when pulling in. Clear the isles so that more than one person can walk through them at once. Open a few windows so the place has some air circulation, especially with Covid now a days. Finally, keep in mind with the internet, more and more people are leaving and reading reviews on your business. If someone does not work well with the public give them a job where they do something other than interact with the public. There are what I believe to be some good products there but it was not a good shopping experience so I won't be returning. read more

This place is huge! It's full of antiques and some modern western jewelry and decor. The items are a little pricey and I'm sure priced for the high volume of visitors they get being located right off the Beeline Hwy in Payson. My fiancée and I are frequent visitors to the Payson/Pine area and were excited to see this business finally open. As we pulled into the parking lot and attempted to park an elderly woman (I assume she was one of the owners but would never know for sure.) came out waving her hands at us to leave. Apparently they decided to close for the day although those hours were not reflected online anywhere and their method of letting people know this was to physically shoo them away. She was shooing away others in the lot as well. Their phone is disconnected so there's no way to ask what their hours really are. I was really disappointed and honestly astonished that an business owner would act this way. What a strange way to run a business. I'm not sure if I'll ever attempt to return after this experience. read more

I pass this place every other weekend on my way through Payson to Pine. It is NEVER open! I've driven by at various times in the morning, afternoon, evening. I've only seen it open once in 3 years. After reading the reviews I haven't missed anything but disappointment. read more

The store is fantastic the amount of merchandise and here is phenomenal lots of great one-of-a-kind antiques furniture guns knives you name it they have it here. It looks like a western town. I heard they even shot an episode of Grizzly Adams hear back in the day. Don't missed the Shay Bird Boutique located just door to the Pioneer Village. read more

Just stopped in to look around because it's CASH ONLY. Pretty Mexican jewelry - large earrings were right around $30 so not too bad. Tons of knives and old ceramics and dishes - quite a bit of horse saddles and gear. Over priced cast iron skillets. I would go again but just a bit of a pain with cash only. read more

Lots of stuff, no cards accepted though. A lot of their things are WAY to overpriced...I even think a few items were from Ross or Home Goods with a lot of dust to create an 'antique' look! Lol it's ok, but the no cards thing is WAY too outdated!!! read more

Took a drive today to Payson found this antique store and decided to stop in...let me just say this place is rediculous full of over priced things yes some interesting items after all an antique store but once you get past the disorganization and crazy high prices.... anything you find you may want to buy , you can't because they don't accept credit cards or debit cards. ..it's cash only. Extremely rude old lady there I asked her was it just credit cards they didn't accept and she stated no...only cash there's an atm across the street...who carries large amounts of cash on them these days kinda disappointed because I actually wanted to give them some business....also from a security standpoint if you the owners are reading this....I'd be careful not to leave you're cash behind the counter in plain site in that cigar box.....people are not so honest these days and people can distract you pretending they want you to open up a display case while the other reaches over the counter and robs you and poof they are gone ! Another reason why you should at least update you're payment system to credit/debit cards so you have limited amounts of cash on hand..ignorance is opportunity ...then again....you're items are so expensive there I don't see how you really make much money to begin with read more
