Specialties

We specialize in chasing steelhead with the fly on the wild and scenic Klickitat River. The Klickitat has a strong run of two salt steelhead averaging in the eight to ten pound range with fish weighing in the teens not uncommon. These steelhead are known for fighting hard and their willingness to chase down the fly. They enter the river from June to November, which gives an angler a very long window to chase these great fish. From wet wading to wool hats you can find chrome bright fish. While fishing with us you have to option to stay in your own private yurt with two bedrooms, a full kitchen and attached bathroom.We run the Yurt much like a rental house where it is your space while fishing with us. It has a full kitchen with the essentials found in most homes so you can cook your meals.

Established in 2002.

The owner Travis started guiding in 2002 and has guided in both Washington and Montana. We expanded into the lodging our guests 2013.

Meet the Business Owner: Travis W.

Travis Wallace grew up in Washington state and he attended college at Central Washington University where he started guiding on the Yakima River and traveling south to fish the Klickitat River. After leaving Ellensburg, he and his wife Tessa moved to the Bitterroot Valley in Montana. Over the next seven years he continued to guide for trout in the summer and would return to the Klickitat each fall to guide for steelhead. He now lives just off the Klickitat River in High Prairie with his wife and two children. He now enjoys being able to fish the entire season on the river as well as pursue winter run steelhead in the surrounding streams. Over the last several years Travis has ran more guided fly fishing trips on the Klickitat than any other guide, he knows the spots and wants to put your fly in them.
