Because this gym operates on a daily schedule packed with classes, you avoid the awful "walking into a packed, open gym and having no idea where to begin" experience. Each class is different, too, so it never gets monotonous. There are class times from the wee hours of the morning to after the kids are in bed, so it's easy to work around any type of schedule. Only me and one other student showed up, and the place smelled like a sweat-fest (those ballerinas before us must have been workin' it). Teacher was casual, a very talented choreographer, and hungry because she kept going to the side of the studio to eat her dinner in between instructions. I didn't sweat (again, I think my body was tricked by the studio's aroma into thinking it wasn't necessary) but I did feel challenged by the routine. Only about 1/3 of the class time was dedicated to dancing; the rest was warm up moves, funkywalking across the floor, stretching, and ab exercises. The music choices were contemporary which was a plus. I would have liked to learn a longer routine than three counts of 8, but its all good.

They were all great so I've now purchased a monthly membership that gives me unlimited access to classes in the hot yoga studios in Littleton, Westford, and Chelmsford. Vibe offers a variety of hot classes including yoga, mat pilates, and fusion classes that combine disciplines--for example Yoga Sculpt combines cardio with yoga. The rooms are great with a flooring that has just enough padding to it, hot, and they have blocks, weights (which you can use for Yoga Sculpt), etc. They also offer Lagree classes, and have the new Megaformers at the location in Littleton. So far, I've taken classes from 4 different instructors--all very good!
