I was visiting the New England area for work along with a little pleasure and needed my Bikram Yoga…read morefix to escape the cold temps, and was happy to find Bikram Yoga Chelmsford, very near to my friend's house in Lowell, MA and UMass - Lowell. It was easy to find, had plenty of parking and the teachers and students at the studio were very friendly. I went to the Friday afternoon, 4:30PM class with Nancy, and then the Saturday 9:30AM class with Terri. Both teachers were great, but had different styles, which is one of my favorite parts about Bikram...other than the heat. Nancy's dialogue was very positive and encouraging in a slower, more methodical tone. She had many great points and tips while she stood facing the class or demonstrating on the podium. Terri's morning class was very high energy and she really kept the pace going while making her way between the sweaty bodies who all seemed to follow the dialogue in unison - I really appreciated her use of student's names and put in extra effort when she passed by me in a pose! I'll admit, I was a little deflated when I read a few reviews about the studio smell, but frankly, after visiting, I can only assume those reviews were written by people not familiar with a Bikram studio...it smelled fine, and very good when you consider the typical hot yoga studio. You can't have a wood floor in a hot yoga room, people! You sweat too much and there is a danger of slipping if there weren't carpet. The studio lobby was stocked with cold beverages, numerous active wear pieces that were just perfect for the hot and humid yoga room along with mats and insulated water bottles. The studio offered rental yoga mats which were nicely stacked behind the desk along with clean towels which were great for an out-of-towner. On top of the well-kept carpet, and neat and tidy studio changing and bathrooms, I can't say enough about the showers...and the ample supply of hot water!!! As I mentioned, everyone was so friendly, and after chatting with a few ladies in the dressing room, and waiting to take some pics for my review, I found myself 3rd or 4th in line for a shower after class and had resigned to the fact that I'd just quickly rinse off and leave a full shower for later, but to my surprise, they have tankless water heaters that kept the hot water flowing!!!! I have practiced Bikram yoga for over 12 years, and have visited studios in over 20 states so I feel like I have a lot of experience and appreciation for the good and the bad out there. I usually won't review a place unless it's exstremely good or bad, and frankly...I loved this studio and wished I had one like it closer to home! I highly recommend checking it out and to consider yourself lucky if you do live close enough to be a regular. Namaste...

I have always been athletic and active, but after two…read morecesareans just two years apart and with three herniated discs, getting back into fitness required a more thoughtful approach. The Vibe offers heated Pilates classes (along with other types of classes) that have truly changed my life. I am down 80 pounds and have more mobility now than I ever did, even before having kids. When I say The Vibe is my church, I mean it. I am an avid hot Pilates and Tone Strength Cardio attendee. If I miss one of Brooke's classes, I make sure to double up the following week. Brooke pushes muscles I never even knew I had, and after 2.5 years, I am still discovering new ones every session. She is incredibly motivating and constantly reminds me that I'm here for my health and mobility. The mind-body connection from her classes is what will keep me climbing stairs well into my 80s. She incorporates different equipment to target areas I've never worked before, and I *crave* her classes as a way to level up every day! Whether you're just starting your fitness journey or looking for a challenge, Brooke is the coach for you. She will get you where you need to go--and beyond--showing you what you're truly capable of with a variety of dynamic movements. THANK YOU, BROOKE!!!!

Not a place where people come to show off--not their spendy yoga swag nor their fancy yoga moves. Very down-to-earth. The style of yoga taught here is largely of the vinyasa style--steady and flowing, but not as rushed as a power yoga class. Not as heated, either. I'd guess that the room temperature is kept somewhere in the low 80s. Comfortable and warming, but you don't feel like you need IV fluids afterward. Classes here incorporate music into the flow--which I really enjoy. Helps get me out of my head and adds to the experience. The instructors are proficient and friendly and creative. I particularly like Susan--but these days she only teaches an early (for me) morning class on Sundays. I'd love to get out to this place more, but (a) it's a small (albeit scenic) trek out to Concord and (b) it's a weebit expensive, in my opinion ($17 for a drop-in; $16 if you buy a 10 class pass--the part about no expiry is nice! The unlimited 3-month package is tres, tres expensive at $525). Minor gripes, yes. In all, a great place to get a yoga workout for the body and the soul. A hidden gem . . .

They really made me feel welcome and comfortable asking questions, which was important to me as someone new to yoga. The studio is well maintained with an abundance of props. Parking is a breeze. I highly recommend taking a class with Asha. She's supportive and gently guides you to try just a little more each week. She also incorporates medical information and how yoga can help with the realities of life. Her classes are joyful.

Where do i begin, this studio has it all!…read more I would consider myself an intermediate skill level. I have taken yoga on and off for years and tried many studios. While there are many that i do like, i have yet to find one where the classes and teachers create a connected space with absolute peace and kindness. They are incredibly caring and respectful of each individual's skill level. Toni, the owner is an amazing person and a certified yoga teacher by the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She can answer any questions you have about what is best for your practice, of course the teachers can as well. She is running a special like no other: 30 days for $30! Unlimited practice, allows you to try everything the studio has to offer and get to know the teachers and the other students. it is a true community. Here is a quick review of the classes i have taken so far Yoga Essential and All Levels with Eric. Eric's classes are so refreshing and balanced. His peaceful and calming nature immediately put you at ease and allow you to focus on your practice. He likes to incorporate a few peer postures which is a really nice addition to the class Kundalini Basics with Samarrah. I had never taken a Kundalini class and had no idea what it was. I challenged my self in ways i never have before, strengthening my core and my mind. Samarrah is perhaps one of the sweetest souls i have ever met. Yoga Essentials with Sarah. This class is perfect for anyone, any level. If you have any specific areas of of the body that need special attention Sarah knows exactly how to guide you to the right movements for you. All Levels with Asha. This is a Friday night class, no better way to end a long week. Asha is an absolute joy and brings a sense of ease and fun with her teaching. She knows exactly how to adjust your posture and grab the right props for the ultimate stretch! Slow Burn with Elizabeth. This class pushed me and made me sweat, it was awesome! It was the perfect balance and end to a week of an amazing journey of trying many classes. Elizabeth's kind, nurturing and encouraging style was a perfect blend Oh! And i don't want to forget to say that the studio is beautiful- the sunlight coming in during your practice is perfection. The props are abundant and like no others i have seen. Every kind and size pillow possible, beautiful blankets, blocks, wedges, eye pillows and something called the cushy mat! - Namaste'
