I tried several yoga studios before finding one that fit. Serenity Yoga has the care and concern you associate with a family business. It's truly a labor of love for Toni and her crew. They really made me feel welcome and comfortable asking questions, which was important to me as someone new to yoga. The studio is well maintained with an abundance of props. Parking is a breeze. I highly recommend taking a class with Asha. She's supportive and gently guides you to try just a little more each week. Where do i begin, this studio has it all! I would consider myself an intermediate skill level. I have taken yoga on and off for years and tried many studios. While there are many that i do like, i have yet to find one where the classes and teachers create a connected space with absolute peace and kindness. They are incredibly caring and respectful of each individual's skill level. Toni, the owner is an amazing person and a certified yoga teacher by the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She can answer any questions you have about what is best for your practice, of course the teachers can as well. She is running a special like no other: 30 days for $30! Unlimited practice, allows you to try everything the studio has to offer and get to know the teachers and the other students. it is a true community. Here is a quick review of the classes i have taken so far Yoga Essential and All Levels with Eric. Eric's classes are so refreshing and balanced. His peaceful and calming nature immediately put you at ease and allow you to focus on your practice. He likes to incorporate a few peer postures which is a really nice addition to the class Kundalini Basics with Samarrah. I had never taken a Kundalini class and had no idea what it was. I challenged my self in ways i never have before, strengthening my core and my mind. Samarrah is perhaps one of the sweetest souls i have ever met. Yoga Essentials with Sarah. This class is perfect for anyone, any level. If you have any specific areas of of the body that need special attention Sarah knows exactly how to guide you to the right movements for you. All Levels with Asha. This is a Friday night class, no better way to end a long week. Asha is an absolute joy and brings a sense of ease and fun with her teaching. She knows exactly how to adjust your posture and grab the right props for the ultimate stretch! Slow Burn with Elizabeth. This class pushed me and made me sweat, it was awesome! It was the perfect balance and end to a week of an amazing journey of trying many classes. Elizabeth's kind, nurturing and encouraging style was a perfect blend Oh! And i don't want to forget to say that the studio is beautiful- the sunlight coming in during your practice is perfection. The props are abundant and like no others i have seen. This is where I got my start in the regular practice of yoga, and my heart will always feel it as a second home. Through regular practice twice a week (and weekly Weight Watchers meetings), I lost 80 lbs in 14 months, a true testament to the holistic benefits of yoga for the body, mind and spirit. The beginner classes are true to their designation, a place to learn about yoga as a whole, not just somewhere to twist yourself into a pose for a few minutes and hope you can unwind from it safely. Classes were well adapted to all sizes, shapes and skill levels. Teachers always took the time to demonstrate and help hands-on when needed. Once I'd built up my skill, I progressed into "regular" (intermediate) classes, then moving on to the more physically demanding flow (vinyasa) classes. The journey was immensely rewarding! Every teacher I met, either staff or substitute, was a calm and gentle guide through practice, and it would be hard to pick a favorite. There are many things to like about this yoga studio. 1) The environment is very welcoming and the staff very friendly. 2) It's a great place for beginners as there are multiple suitable class options. 3) There are lots of props which is fun. 4) In the month that I've attended, I never found it to be terribly crowded. 5) There's a great balance between the physical and spiritual components as there should be in yoga. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I tend to like faster pace, more athletic, maybe even heated, yoga and I didn't really find many classes like this that fit my schedule. read more

I really enjoyed this yoga studio. As someone new to yoga, instructors made me feel very comfortable learning the positions and understanding what yoga was about. Now that I don't live as close, I don't go but I do miss it. I am considering the occaasional drive just to get in some great relaxation sessions. read more

This is an awesome yoga studio for all levels! I just started attending classes here about a month ago and I love it. The studio is calm, quiet and clean. All of the staff/teachers are very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. They offer a variety of classes everyday including in the evening which is key for me because I can go after work. They have a ton of yoga props (mats, pillows, blocks, belts, etc) so you never have to bring anything of your own if you don't want to/don't have. I would say the only downsides are that the studio is somewhat small (can accommodate around 15 people comfortably) and they offer mostly basic yoga classes (i.e not things like hot yoga). But overall its a great studio and VERY AFFORDABLE! read more

I look forward to my weekly class at Serenity. I attend the 730pm class-which is a great way to end my day. I take the Vinyasa class with Jim and always leave refreshed and feeling stronger. The pace is a bit slower than a hot yoga flow class yet still challenging- but it gives me a better opportunity to work on my poses. Only drawbacks is the studio is small and classes fill out quick but hopefully they will add more Vinyasa classes as more people inquirer. read more

I love Serenity Yoga for the wonderful feel of community, for the amazing teachers, and for THIS: I am halfway through my second 21-day Whole Foods Cleanse hosted by Serenity Yoga Center (http://serenityyoga.com/) and offered by Ultimate Rejuvenation Cleanse (http://www.ultimaterejuvenationcleanse.com/), pretty much back-to-back. I have not been able to hold my hands behind my back without pain for years. So any yoga postures that have us do that, I have had to use a strap. Today was the FIRST day in YEARS! (perhaps a decade, or more?) that I was able to do that!! And last week was the first week in YEARS I was able to roll around on my lower back without pain there! I attribute both these miracles to these two whole foods cleanses I have been on AND doing lots more yoga!! I have SO MUCH Gratitude for Toni, Charlotte and Lisa!! I went to this yoga studio for about a year (left because I moved). I love this place. The classes are about 1 hour and 15 minutes which is the perfect for me. They offer various class levels. The ones I have been to is "all level" and "intermediate". The instructors are one of the best yoga teachers I have had. They follow the yoga philosophy and never pushes their students to the point of possibly hurting themselves. With that said, teachers are able to adjust their class intensity based on request by students. My Thursday class with Nina is probably the best yoga class I ever had. She starts each class asking the students to check in with her by telling her how they feel and what they want. And she plans a class right there and then! read more
