My family chose Westgate Christian School for our girls 3 years ago. We are so thankful that we did. I couldn't say enough positive things about the education they are receiving, the teachers and staff, the administrative team or the front office staff! Our girls feel loved every single day! Amazing God focused campus with faculty that actually are trying to live by the word. My son can be a handful and he has thrived here socially, behaviorally and academically. Westgate Christian School is like finding a pearl! Our family decided to investigate private schools v- public schools. Were we ever surprised and thrilled to find Westgate. Located in Spartanburg SC. and very convenient to the major highways it's location was easy to find and navigate. From the moment we went inside, the ladies in the office went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and make us feel right at home. The Principal came in and introduced himself and asked if we would like to meet with him in his office. He too, spent a good long time telling us about the School, the Teachers and all of the courses of study. After that, our family was treated to a very extensive tour wherein we were able to meet the prospective teacher and class. Having grown up in the 60's, I was stunned to see a clean, orderly, well mannered class. The students were so well behaved, no one speaking out of turn. Everyone raising their hand and manners galore. The teacher was not only experienced with over 20 years teaching, but she was so kind, creative and encouraging students by using positive reinforcement. I felt like I had gone back in time when all American classes use to be this way. The tour continued, and the campus is lovely and very peaceful with unexpected things like a little babbling waterfall, and beautiful high glossed oak floors. We toured a gym, computer room, library, fine arts, cafeteria, and a marvelous chapel. This school starts in Pre-school and goes through High School. Throughout our tour all of the teachers and students were kind and courteous. Best of all this school puts GOD first. Yes...you actually get to pray and study the Bible. The biggest surprise was the cost. We never imagined that a fine school like this would be affordable. Not only was it so very affordable, but they also offer after school care at lower prices than many day-cares we have contacted. It only took minutes for us to convene and decide to sign up our child. The school agreed to let him come experience a bit of a day in the class to see if he would like it. Imagine how excited we were to see him grinning from ear to ear at the end of his trial session. HE LOVES IT! If you ever thought about having a great, safe, Christian school, where the staff really cares about your child's Spiritual life, and Educational life, then consider stopping by Westgate Christian.
