DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - I started with WestHost in 2000. Yes 15 years ago. I have now moved all of my 60+ domains and my reseller hosting account to another company after 15 years of doing business with WestHost. Constant and repetitive server issues leading to huge blocks of down time. Inconsistent and unhelpful customer service. A billing department that is unable/unwilling to handle changes promptly. None of these issues or problems were present before WestHost was purchased by the UK2Group in 2009. Prior to 2009 I actually referred at least 8 new clients to this company. I surely regret doing that now. WestHost has slowly devolved into a dead company walking over the past 5-7 years. TERRIBLE COMPANY - Westhost is another name for RESELL.BIZ which is owned by UK2.net. Finding this information was about as hard as renewing all of my 17 Domain names "I HAD WITH" Resell.biz. There home page is about the crappiest navigation site I have ever experienced once I was able to log on. Resell.biz sent me emails on renewing my domains and the message contained a box that said "Click Here" to renew. Well I "Clicked Here" and it took me to a whole different site. Upon finally finding the customer support phone number, I called and they informed me I had to type in www.cp.us2.net on my browser to actually get into the site where I can manage my domains. Is this stupid or what? Why do they say click here if it does absolutely nothing. I asked to speak to a supervisor about this glitch and was told over and over none were available. Needless to say, I immediately got on the web and found another domain hosting company that can offer me better service and easier navigation tools for a am a busy business owner who does not have the time to be farting around with finding the right site each and every time I want to add or renew a domain. Have been in Westhost for more that 10 years, it was a good company but can't say that anymore, had to update my hosting plan lately and problems don't stop, my site doesn't work well and support isn't what it was. To bad, will have to look for another hosting provider. read more

I've been with WestHost for 7 years and when I needed to upgrade to VPS, I stayed with them out of loyalty. I am sorry I did. The VPS is not a root-access VPS, it's just a standard account with Cpanel and no access to actual logs or server configuration. Anyway, they just experienced a server breach and my site was loaded with malware. My first indication was not WestHost but my visitors -I got lots of e-mails from readers. For days I tried to get information and a breached server was never mentioned. Tickets were never responded to. Chat is the only way to get an answer and that answer is not always helpful. When a server is breached, WestHost should tell their customers not hide the fact and act like you have some kind of routine site problem. I should not find out from my readers. My site is now blocked. Thanks WestHost! Oh, and when a resolution was finally reached (site restorel from backup), they refused to take action because I would not provide my complete password by e-mail. I provided my last bills serial number but they would not accept that. I finally bent my neck and sent my entire password by e-mail. I'll be moving as soon as I have time. read more
