I just want to send a belated thank-you to everyone at Waldo Hardware for always being there to…read moreanswer my questions, guide me in my purchases, and assist me in any homeowner's dilemmas. On this recent visit, I especially want to recognize Mike L. I was working on a church project and, not being creative, was stuck regarding how to fix ribbons to a pole. He showed me several displays of hardware around the store that might serve my needs. After looking in three different areas, we found exactly the right item! And then I needed an enzymatic drain cleaner, and he walked me through the specifics of the various brands for sale, going through the details until we found just the right one for my needs. MANY thanks to Mike L. for his knowledge of hardware and home upkeep items, for his persistence in searching various areas until we found exactly the right item, and for his friendly, patient and welcoming attitude as we searched together. Thank you for such a pleasant shopping experience! Your great customer service is the reason I return to Waldo Hardware FIRST!

Despite living a…read morehandful of miles north, we discovered it when looking to get somewhere via ebike and the Trolley Trail, and it's been kind of great ever since. I've brought my pup in here as she continues to need some socialization and it always goes well. One time the clerks had their dog too and they became fast friends. This store really packs quite a bit into it. Of course it won't be as sizable as a Home Depot, but man oh man is the experience world's better. I found every single thing on my list which was great. It's closest size comparison to me would be the Ace in Westport, but hey guess what, you don't have to fear for your life in KC's worst intersection if you come here! It's easy to park in the lot out front, off of the always-busy 75th Street. My kids love it because they have a gumball machine, whoopie cushions, and other classics from back in the day when the world was making real attempts to be fun. I think I might even go out of my way again to come back to this spot more regularly.. nice place.

Feldman's has continued to be an amazing place. I walked in again yesterday to pick up some grass…read moreseed. As I was looking at the seed starter fertilizers a worker came and started asking me questions about my yard. I explained what I had in my new yard and what I wanted to see happen. He recommended a product to get the results I was seeking. Every year I stop in here to get a bag of Houndog Fescue. This fescue seed produces beautiful tall thin farm green blades of grass that is dog proof. It is the only grass seed in the area that looks great and is also perfect for high traffic areas. I don't believe thou can but it at any other place but Feldmans.

I personally would not shop here as the atmosphere is very toxic. A higher up named Terris has…read morerepeatedly humiliated and belittled lower tier employees in front of other customers through yelling and picking on them. The assistant managers have a history of a power complex they would abuse their power on their co-workers. There are some people who have worked there who were genuine and really cared about their job, but those workers leave because of the stress from the managers and management not upholding their promises and lying about the promises. The company is ran by greed and deceit as Sahrene (the owner) only cares about what goes in her wallet, even if it means the workers get skimped out on their paychecks. Employees will get heavily penalized for honest mistakes (and sometimes fired for mistakes) while Sahrene Feldman gets away with coming into the office, belligerently drunk and yelling, saying she wants to fire all of the office workers while being escorted out of the store. This company is very harmful. You can do your job and be good at it, all the while being told you are expendable. I would be weary of this company as the owners have a history of issues as Dan Feldman (Sahrene's father) has used sexual coercion with managers (before he handed ownership to his daughter). This company is not to be trusted. Not to mention the enormous amounts of OHSA violations that they choose to ignore; only one person being forklift certified who is barely at the store, and many more that are genuinely concerning for employee safety, of the lack of. I would also be very cautious about buying any livestock from this company as animals get sick left and right with little to no sanitation and unhealthy living conditions. The animals there are seen as a 'second thought'. The store manager Zach only got a vet involved for the sick goats when multiple employees got together and explained they were dying. Zach was planning on selling them regardless of their condition as he stated "They can be someone else's problem, we don't have a vet for them. This isn't worth my time." I nice family came into the store and bought a pair of goats, which turned out to be very sick. The family came back to tell management and Zach told them he couldn't do anything about it. Many people came back to exchange chicks as they would die left and right, infecting the established flock.

I have mobility challenges, but with my cane and a cart, I made my way inside. The man at the Returns desk took pity on this 74‑year‑old lost woman and offered help. He tried to open the key fob so I could replace the battery, and a woman from Customer Service joined in. All of us failed. The Returns gentleman thought someone in the Garden department might be able to help. In Gardens, another employee joined in -- and he also couldn't get it open. They began suggesting other places I could try, but when I explained I wasn't sure the fob had enough juice left to start the car again, one of the young men even offered to drive me to AutoZone. It became a test of wills. The Returns man went back to his station. The first Gardens employee thought someone in another section might be able to do it, so he told me to rest and he'd return. While waiting, two other employees stopped to check on me. Eventually he returned with -- I believe -- Mike, who had managed to get the fob open. Mike and I went to get the battery near the paint department, where yet another employee assisted. Mike put the new battery in, walked me back to the Returns cashier, and explained the opened package missing one of the two batteries so she could ring me out properly. My cane and I made it back to the car and drove home safely. In about half an hour, I interacted with eight Lowe's employees -- all kind, patient, and genuinely helpful -- while still tending to their other duties. I wish I had seen more name badges or had a better memory so I could thank each of them individually. I am deeply grateful to the store management for creating a work culture where employees are empowered to truly help people. Their kindness made a difficult moment so much easier.

Service staff are always friendly and nice but not always sure on answers to questions but they are willing to help you find out the answers.
