She is able to adjust her teaching style based on the student's maturity level and interests. Neli is constantly pushing you to improve but in a patient and nurturing way. What impresses me every time is comparing where I start with a piece of music and where I end up. The understanding of the piece, the subtle refinement, and the growth that I experience with every piece of music is truly inspiring. She encourages her students to record themselves playing the same piece at different times to witness that growth, and that is amazing to see. Students can participate in two recitals a year and those recitals are so, so amazing to watch and speak to her talent to develop her students' talents. Many of her students go on to compete at various levels and regularly earn highest awards. We once had to wait on an emergency service for Willie Nelson, reportedly; for this amateur it was quite ok. She continued to tune and service the Steinway. We've lost touch, I've moved from TX to CA, but couldn't be any more grateful for living in TX and being connected to the Rappaport Piano Workshop. A visit to the workshop is absolutely amazing. In the presence of masters, I can't imagine a better service anywhere.

My son has ADHD and his teachers are able to engage him throughout the lesson. As someone who is experienced in both adolescent development and pedagogy, Orpheus is, in my opinion, the best music school in central Texas.

She puts on a couple of recitals a year and has informal "karaoke" parties so that her students have something to work towards. She focuses on singing musical numbers and pop/folk songs and encourages students to pick their own songs they would like to learn. The location at her house is actually quite nice. You soon get used to freely walking into the house and past the ongoing piano lesson given by her mother into Lisa's own cozy little voice room. Her and her mother are the nicest people in the world! It's neat to experience those pockets of niceness in this crazy mixed up world.

I signed my daughter up for violin lessons after a trial lesson that seemed promising. We registered on the 12th, and on the 30th of the same month, I let them know I wanted to cancel. They are now charging me for another month of lessons, despite my cancellation request. Beware that if you sign up mid-month, you'll be on the hook for another 4 lessons, despite no services rendered.

Here's what I have to say about the experience I've had: I have David Price as my teacher, and I am utterly grateful for his instruction. He is fantastic--always involved in every step of the lesson, playing along with me, giving me directions as well as examples of what to do, and he's just a down-to-earth guy who's friendly and kind. The owner, Kath, is sweet as can be, and every single person I've met from that school has been helpful, friendly and polite. The school is clean; the environment is welcoming; the instruction from my teacher is second to none, and I've had four teachers, counting him. I am very happy with everything I've experienced so far. I am excited to see how I grow as a violinist over the coming months and years.
