I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience here has been extremely…read moredisappointing. In the beginning, everything seemed wonderful, but over time serious concerns became impossible to ignore. First, tuition and fees continued to increase, yet there was very little transparency regarding where the additional money was going. Competition fees in particular did not match the written amounts provided by the competitions themselves. For my daughter's solo entry alone, I discovered we were charged over $200 more than the actual competition fee. Costume costs were also excessive, especially when many items appeared to come from inexpensive online retailers while parents were charged significantly higher prices. Another major concern was the lack of accountability and communication. Concerns brought up by parents were often dismissed, and at times families were made to feel unreasonable for asking legitimate questions. Communication was inconsistent, with frequent changes to contact information and difficulty receiving clear responses. Most importantly, I was deeply troubled by the treatment of children. No child should leave practice feeling humiliated or emotionally distressed. My 6-year-old daughter came home crying on multiple occasions, and other parents shared that their children witnessed staff yelling harshly at her. It was heartbreaking to watch her confidence diminish over time. After two years, she became so emotionally overwhelmed that she begged me in tears not to make her audition again. There were also issues involving choreography changes being made without proper permission or communication, despite claims otherwise. Additionally, while it was stated that extra time and effort were being "donated" for soloists, many of those lessons were still conducted in shared private sessions despite being included in our regular tuition. I was genuinely excited for Taylor to have a dance studio for local children, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Every child deserves a positive, supportive, and encouraging environment where they can grow both as dancers and as individuals. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I would strongly encourage parents of young dancers to carefully consider all options before enrolling.

All of the teachers we've worked with have been wonderful (we've had several different teachers for each subject, since we needed to move days a couple of times). Currently we have Steve for voice and Danielle for piano, and we adore them both. Steve makes my daughter feel super comfortable (which is vital with singing, where you really have to put yourself out there. It can be so hard to get kids over that performance anxiety -- is there anything worse than embarrassment to an 11-year old?? -- but Steve's sense of humor works wonders with the kids.) And Danielle is absolutely lovely and made my daughter feel really good about her progress. The other person we interact with a lot is Brenda, who handles scheduling, appointments, payments, calls, recitals ... basically she runs the place. Not only is Brenda super organized and helpful, but she's also the nicest person you'll probably ever come across. We feel really lucky to have this school right here in Pflugerville. I hope they never move!

They said they had a few strings and Todd, one of their guitar instructors, said he would fix them if I could leave them with him for a few minutes as he had a student due to come in then. He called back after maybe an hour and said they were ready, no charge! I was amazed. I am so grateful that there are still places around that do kind things for people. If we become in the market to actually take guitar lessons, or any music lessons, this will be the first place we go to. The reception area is very clean, cool and welcoming. The office manager, Belinda, is so nice and friendly. I wholeheartedly recommend Pfluger Rock School of Music!

He's my first guitar…read moreteacher but far from my first music teacher, and I had originally chose him out of a recommendation from a friend. Josh provides both in-person and virtual lessons and different lesson packages that tailor to your learning needs. I purchased a flex lesson package (meaning you get a certain number of lessons that you can use any time within a certain time period). Josh has a way of spending time both within and outside of class to ensure that he's exceeding your needs and you're actually learning. He's great with kids too! He has students from many different age ranges. Would definitely recommend Josh as your next guitar teacher.

I had next to no experience when I began, and Josh was very accommodating and understanding of my level. Josh moves you along at a comfortable pace that really helps you understand what you are learning while also keeping things fresh and exciting. It's been about 8 months and I've already got a few songs under my belt. His rates are reasonable and his flexibility in scheduling has also been nice. The option to do virtual lessons as needed is also very convenient. I highly recommend Josh to anyone of any age or experience level looking for lessons!
