It's a…read morelovely neighborhood area with plenty of parking, sports fields, playground, dog park, library, and there was even a food truck in the parking area. The dog park was really nice with fresh cut grass and fencing so the dogs can be let off of their leash. They had potty bag holders available but I always bring my own so I'm not sure if they were stocked or not. There were only a few other people in the dog area, but there were lots of people walking their dogs. There was also a soccer game going on just adjacent to the dog run and the park was very lively and full of people. I personally did not appreciate that the sports teams had placed their goals on the only sidewalk/ walkway through the area so that anyone walking had to go on to the grass to get around them. I feel like the park has plenty of room and that wasn't necessary. Other than that, we really enjoyed our visit here. I also checked out the library while my husband checked out the food truck with our dog. There were clean bathrooms inside and an adorable children's book area. I definitely recommend a stop to this park if you're in the area.

It has garbage cans, poop bag dispensers, and double doored gates on both ends so you can enter from either end of the park. Unfortunately it's not a 10/10 dog park for me because it's missing running water stations and some shade near the benches. Bring your own water if you come but good Samaritans have left a dog bowl with bottled water when I stopped by. Needs improvement but I will still come as it's the closest gated dog park near my house.

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at the San Bruno Recreation Center,…read morespecifically with an employee named Jordan. My son has come here many times to play basketball and previously enjoyed it, but after this experience he doesn't even feel comfortable returning. Jordan questioned my son's membership/age, told him his membership was invalid, and made him leave, even though another employee later confirmed that he still had 8 paid scans remaining. When I came in to ask questions and requested to speak with a supervisor, Jordan became confrontational, raised his voice at me in front of my children, and told me that if I continued being "rude and disrespectful," I could be kicked out and no longer welcomed at the facility. That was completely unacceptable to me. Parents should be able to respectfully question a policy or advocate for their child without being yelled at or threatened with removal from a community facility. I do want to recognize Kayla, who was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful. She showed that policies can be explained and enforced while still treating families with respect. I genuinely feel Jordan could benefit from additional training in customer service, de-escalation, and how to appropriately communicate with children and families. Working in a community recreation center means interacting with people of all ages, including children, and even when enforcing rules, those interactions should be handled calmly and respectfully. I've been part of the San Bruno community my entire life, so it's especially disappointing that my son and I now feel uncomfortable returning. I truly hope management takes this concern seriously and addresses it so families can feel welcome and respected here.

We did not use the bbq station but used it as a table for food. There are also outlets, we didn't use it though I assume they work. They have a nice playground right next to the picnic site which was convenient for kids. There is also plenty of parking if you come early. Booking the site was very easy. We just called the park & rec for Pacifica and made a deposit. I will be returning for future festivities (bdays, etc). Only thing is that the restroom does not have soap in their dispensers. Pls bring your own soap/hand sanitizer!

The play structure is massive and definitely caters to the little ones' imaginations as you can pretend you're in a castle, complete with turrets. They also have a sandbox, playhouses, and swings, so you are sure to find something for all the kids to enjoy. They also have picnic tables and a giant grassy area where you can run around, hold birthday parties, or just sit to have lunch. A couple of bathrooms are located on site, and they are relatively clean, although they do not provide soap or sanitizer.

There is NO clean space it is all dirt and mud. It is poorly maintained, the DPW is responsible for this area NOT parks and Rec. and they do literally nothing. It is the private owners in the neighborhood who do all the cleaning and maintenance. Most of the private owners are chill, but there is a distinct avoidance of their responsibility to clean up their dog droppings. At times, the place can be a literal sh*t show. It doesn't help that when more than two dogs walkers are there at any one time, the place becomes way too crowded and I guarantee you will leave with sh*t on your shoes. wait.... I meant to say even when the park is empty, you will leave with sh*t on your shoes. There is ALWAYS several out of control dogs or dog guardians at this filthy hell hole. It used to be a nice place several years ago, now it is sadly an open sewer frequented by the homeless and thoughtless. There is no water inside the park and the fountain outside is filthy. I've found human feces, mud and assorted other stuff in it NEVER let your dogs drink from it unless you want a huge vet bill. Speaking of vet bills, unless a good Samaritan private owner pulls the weeds.. (again DPW does less than nothing), the place gets infested with fox tails every spring and summer. Ticks? yes. Fleas? Yes. Ghiardia? Yes. If you hate yourself and hate your dogs, this is the park for you.

Then reopened when conditions improved, then closed back down when it deteriorated. It has remained closed ever since. Too bad because it was used by locals. In addition, I don't think the San Bruno Parks & Recs has used the downtime to make improvements. Hopefully, the city will find the time & will to spruce the place up.

After brunch, my friends and I headed to a popular park nearby Millbrae. It's massive, and you pay…read more$6 to get in, which includes parking. We were given a map at the kiosk and the ranger was super helpful, pointing out easy trails and longer options. My boyfriend and I chose the Quail Trail, which was just over a mile which was perfect for a leisurely stroll. We parked near a playground and a picnic area, and the restrooms were decent. There's plenty of parking, even another lot with great views that we decided to hike to instead. The Quail Trail itself was beautiful and straightforward, even though it was a really hot day and I was definitely sweating! But the views were stunning. Just a heads-up though, we saw some poison oak with reddish leaves, so be careful not to stray off the path. It's a fantastic park, highly recommended, especially if you're planning a picnic.
