Their website is designed to screw you over in every way possible when trying to buy monthly permits etc. and register plates. They take forever to review and approve your inquiries and during that time, even if you already have an active permit, the site like locks you out and stops working trying to get you to purchase more over 10 days early of expiry. While that happens the likely hood of getting a ticket goes up exponentially, even though you have a pass that is still good. When trying to do anything on the website it gives you pop-up notifications that are literally gibberish saying "sorry, there room available to park on this permit". Nothing changes when that happens and you cant do anything that wont give you that pop-up. The mobile daily pass site sometimes will not trigger the payment going through even though the timer on your parking is already counting down after you entered all of your information and submitted it. There are deliberately placed extra steps to try to screw you over, like different buttons to hit and pages to go through that are unnecessary and unclear. Parking workers, even if you show them you paid 2 hours ago will not have it and they are always disrespectful. No matter what you get a ticket. If you are a business looking for a parking company, its a real tough look to go with these guys. By association, anyone that has ever dealt with them will start disliking and avoiding you as well, just to avoid any interaction with them whatsoever. read more

On Saturday 2 November 2019 at 1213pm my husband and I parked at The Rise. This is the first time and the last time we will ever park at this parking location, thanks to the rudest , most condescending female parking attendant. We were exiting 1 hour and half later from P2 after shopping at Save-On-Foods and were startled that the machine asked us to pay 12.50. We tried the call button but it wasn't working. There was only one machine in that location and we didn't know what to do so went back to save on and we were told to go back and call the attendant and to return if there were any problems- since we were unfamiliar with the parking lot we drove to the exit and used the call button there. The woman who answered refused to listen to us and just wanted us to pay. She then came over and gave us a lecture- again we tried to explained but she refused to listen to what the issue was and made it seem that we were thieves. - - We tried explaining to her again that we had first attempted to leave at 1 and half hours after parking and were being charged $12.50 and that we had spent the last 20-30 minutes trying to get assistance. She didn't want to listen and her condescending manner, lack of interest in trying to find a solution to the problem was very aggravating. We ended up going back to Save-On-Foods and we were told that there were a lot of complaints by customers about this person and this parking company. I arrived at their Robson Square lot for 4:06 pm on a Sunday only needing enough time to cover for 2 hours and 15 minutes. They offered only 3 options: $3 for one hour; $6 for 2 hours or $12 from 6pm to 6am. There was no option to pay for 2.5 or 3 hours which should at most be $9.00. I complained to them saying it's not my fault that their computer system doesn't allow for a 3 hour option. I've asked to get the name of the manager to make a formal complaint -- less so re. the money than the principle, and am still waiting to hear back. Paying $12.00 for just a little over two hours on a Sunday because one happens to hit the "unlucky hour" of 4pm is plain wrong and unethical. read more

My husband attended a BC Lion's fundraiser April 25, he and his friend ended up having a few beers so called me to come pick them up. We left his car parked in the Westpark lot 088 overnight. I called in the morning, the lady who answered took my plate and allowed me to pay to leave the car there until we could get back downtown after work. We picked it up around 6 and there was a parking ticket. I called Monday afternoon and explained what had happened to a second lady at Westpark and she was just as friendly and helpful. I will definitely choose to park at Westpark whenever it is an option in the future. read more

Terrible customer service. I am a monthly passholder at one of Westpark's Lots in downtown Vancouver. They oversell the available stalls to daily visitors, so when monthly passholders attempt to park, there is no room. I pay a monthly fee and expect to have a spot available so I am able to park and walk over to work. This happens multiple times a month, so today I was fed up. I contacted customer service and was essentially told that too bad, there is nothing they can do. Both the customer service rep and the manager were extremely rude and did nothing to address my concerns. There is a reason why all their reviews are 1 stars. read more

Incredibly unprofessional. Applied for monthly parking and I received a phone call where they didn't even introduce themselves, just "What day do you want to start parking?" I had to then ask who they were. Next I received an email where they called me by a different name. I'll be looking elsewhere. UPDATE Even though they apparently never got my billing information (which I had sent), and me asking not to park with them when they requested it for the second time, now they have begun charging me for parking. The fact that there is a business listing for me to express my rage makes me happy for one of two reasons: I have had a long battle with these guys over the years when it came to driving my personal vehicle and various company vesicles. This review is based on over 5 years of frustration which I will do my best to collectively sum up as one review. I use either my debit or credit when I am paying, however, there has been times in which I have been double billed. Calling customer service is a nightmare when you try and explain the situation. I parked in this specific lot over the years, not by choice but 'cause I needed to as it was the closest and logical parking lot for where I had to go for a medical appointment. The stress that these guys give me is the reason I have medical appointments to begin with (not really I am just illustrating my frustration in a humorous way). I parked in a building for an interview that I was having with an influential person in the city for my zine during one of my days off a few years ago. He stated that I could park near his apartment which I was grateful for and that there was a visitor parking for guests of the apartment tenants...perfect. He was even kind enough to meet me in the parking lot and give me a note to put on my dash board so that others would know that I was actually visiting someone. I came down after my interview and noticed that Westpark left me a warning on my dash board which was odd. Am I not allowed to park? I took a picture of where I was parked at the time, my car and a selfie with said person. Good thing that nothing came of it in terms of a fine but I felt that the common sense used in this situation was not even existent. I parked downtown a few times for Commodore shows in a downtown lot of some shows were getting out super late and I wanted to make sure that I had a ride home 'cause with the awful cabs in the city that don't even drive you to Burnaby from downtown I had to take it upon myself to arrange a reliable ride so that I could see the bands I've been wanting to see for a while now. The parking lot never has security anywhere yet they charge you a lot. As a girl sometimes alone at night walking underground this is a very scary thing at times. Not even an attendant outside? Luckily I had the keys between my knuckles and my pepper spray in my pocket with the finger ready to go on the trigger but still I shouldn't have to feel this way about parking downtown. Most paid parking downtown if not filled and occupied by street parking is underground. I have parked in lots before outside the theaters but that has never been an issue as those shows start and end at a reasonable time and that lot closes earlier that you can't get to your vehicle after shows. There are time that I have gotten a ticket that was my fault, I accept that. The negative review on these incidents has to do with the call in customer service or when you're trying to pay your bill in person. Rather than go through a long list of every situation imaginable I will give a blanket cause. Most of the customer service reps either don't know how to talk to clients, don't know how to answer questions and rather than finding out from someone else they will more likely look at you and say, 'I don't know." I don't have an issue with people not knowing the answer to anything, this is me all the time but I always ask someone or tell the customer that I will obtain that information for them. In general the office staff have always had a bad attitude. The reason why I am giving it two stars instead of one is 'cause at Christmas they had a candy bowl of good candy and I took a lot of candy to compensate from the anger I was feeling from the lack of customer service. read more

I was parked in a non-metered mall parking at Royal City Centre. Upon my return, I then confronted the WestPark employee. She stated that because I walked outside of the parkade, this is why I was ticketed. I have 2 problems with this: 1) There is no signage saying that you can't walk outside of the lot 2) I actually walked to the mall Save On Foods. They shouldn't give tickets if they can't prove where you went too. She assumed that I went somewhere else. This doesn't seem very legal(burden of proof)!! However on a positive note the company was decent enough to reverse the charges when I explained that I went to a mall store. read more

I pay for monthly parking at Westpark. Within the first month of my term, my car had it's windows smashed. I contacted Westpark and they said it's not their problem, I should call the police. Ok, I filed a report and then called a glass specialist. While I was waiting for the glass guy, my car was TOWED from the parkade. Apparently security saw that it had been broken in to, and instead of calling me, they towed it. My scheduled specialist showed up to no vehicle and it cost me $280 plus an afternoon of shenanigans to retrieve it. Also, I had to rebook the repairs. I am not impressed with Westpark. read more

I paid for 1 hour at the Marks Work Warehouse lot on West 4 th , my parking was valid until 8:02 pm. At 7:58- I was going down the stairs from west 4 th Ave into the parking lot and the parking attendant is taking pictures of my back plate then goes around the front of my car and photographs my front plate. As I'm calling out to him with my cell phone in hand I ask him what he is doing?? When I reached my vehicle it was still 7:58 on my phone. His response was "I can't read your time on the ticket". My response was " the ticket is displayed face up on the dash" as stated on the ticket. He kept saying well I can't read it. He had already printed up a ticket on his hand held device which I did not accept .The only option was to pay for 1 hour or until 8:00 am - the next day. I was going to pay for another hour since the restaurant we were at was quite busy on a Tuesday evening . I was so annoyed with their business practices - I showed him the ticket on my dash got into my car and drove away and got a free parking spot above the restaurant. I will never park in any of their lots! If they can't see the print at night through the glass maybe opt for pay by plate? Or give options? THE WORST parking service I have ever dealt with. I had payed a monthly fee for my parking pass (for my Job). Since they have a terrible system where the pass needs to be displayed unlike every other company that goes by license plate, especially if you have a few cars. Since i did not have access to my pass and did not want to pay $12 when i already pay $70/month I got a ticket. I then called to see if they could help and got laughed at saying that I should have displayed it. Also received a printed warning ticket that my rosary around my rear view mirror was blocking the pass number. The number was clearly visible, it seems as if they have no respect for their monthly users of their lots. In such a short period of time they managed to make this a very difficult process as it should not be. I currently rent a parking spot from WestPark underneath my office. However, with the current global crisis of Covid-19, I will be staying home (as required by the government and public health agencies!). I asked WestPark if I could stop paying for the spot effective April 1st. They said that they require at least 30 days notice, so I'm being forced to pay for a month of parking that I can't use. I understand that the 30 day requirement was in the contract, but no one could have anticipated the current circumstances facing the world. A company that actually cared about their customers might choose to waive this 30 day requirement, but that is not WestPark. Also, as I said, this parking lot is underneath my office, so I had every intention of returning to WestPark after this crisis was over, but they would rather take one month of payment from me now and give up the years worth of payments they would have received if I continued to do business with them. Do they think they have a monopoly on parking? I can walk 5 minutes to another parking lot. read more
