I was worried about the surgery because this could affect my gait. I made the call and received an appointment with Dr. Michael Reuter. I hit the jackpot! From that appointment until my release date, Dr. Reuter has been fabulous. Not only did he take excellent care of my foot but he also made sure that I was comfortable and had everything I needed. Of course, I had many, many questions but Dr. Reuter always took the time to answer every one. It was so reassuring to me to know that Dr. Reuter was doing all the worrying and that I could concentrate on healing. Dr. Reuter - thank you for everything even though it doesn't seem enough. He tries to be as flexible as possible!!! He's bilingual. EXCELLENT HIPPA knowledge. His staff has NEVER just disclosed any info what so ever. They're like family at this point!! You need a script you might be waiting a few hours tops, unlike some offices when you wait days on end. He really knows his stuff. I feel blessed to have such an AMAZING dr!!!! :)

Getting appointments with the practice has been notably smooth throughout my time with them; the staff is willing to work with you based on your needs and clinician availability. I've also enjoyed seeing a few of the other practice members (eg Benitez, Berg, Rodriguez), each of whom is thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful. The use of the Healow medical app as a portal, and their fully integrated connectivity to electronic medical record systems, has given me peace of mind that all my instances of care are suitably connected in one place. It's also convenient to be able to head downstairs for a quick and easy blood draw when required - and again, clear results are available in the app shortly thereafter. I've also noticed the patient set is younger than it used to be - not just geriatrics anymore. As important as anything above, Dr Ruggieri is friendly and engaged during visits, as the rest of the staff I've dealt with are also. I definitely have a "medical home" at Wayland Medical.

She can handle any general practitioner issues as well as gynecological screenings. This is a small practice so you must have patience when your ailment isn't an emergency, but I have always found the doctor and staff to be great at taking time to talk to the patient and really get to the root of problems. If you are looking for a FaceTime appointment with an automated script machine-type practice, keep looking.....these are not your people! I am so glad to have found a great personal physician right between work and home! I don't know if I have been spoiled up till now, but I have been disappointed each time I have…read morevisited this office. When I talk to other people they seem to think all of this is normal, but it's not what I've been used to. First of all, the office waiting area as well as the building is a little run down. It would be nice to have an office that makes you feel fresh, even if you're not feeling fresh yourself. The first time I met with Dr. Dorris, she was nice, but she came into the room with an agenda. After I left and went to pick up my medication, I found out that she has prescribed another vitamin that she did not tell me about. This is the same vitamin that she asked about as soon as she walked into the room, before she even got to know me, so I feel like she filed the prescription before she even met with me. I actually already take this vitamin, as I told her, so there was no need to get a prescription for it. Each time since then I have had to wait a considerable amount of time both in the waiting room and then again in the room. Once when I was 5 minutes late, they almost scolded me for it, but with the waiting experience I have had there before, I haven't seen the need to be on time only to wait there. For the last time, it took an hour just to have a med check - something that should've taken less than 15 minutes.
