Completely life changing for a kid who had them non-stop! Unfortunately, my son suffered a serious head injury last Fall, and the hospital suggested PT. They referred him to another, but I wanted Jaime if possible since she helped so much before and I trust her. I emailed to see if she treated his type injury, and she replied within minutes despite us not having seen her in well over a year. She helped tremendously with his balance, pain, and other related issues. My son's brain injury specialist told me recently how impressed she is with Jaime's thoroughness, detailed reports, and the amazing progress my son made in a relatively short time and that she'll be referring patients to her. I have had a number of relatives and a great many of my assisted living residents there at Somerset Ridge, and frankly, they are always at the very top of my reference list should someone ask. Very rarely does a patient move along to long-term care when they rehab here. In most cases, they return home with ancillary therapies. Both the admin and the direct care staff are top of the line, easy to interact with, and place their patients' welfare first. I cannot say that for very many of the other rehab facilities, but Somerset Ridge is most assuredly at the apex of their field.

If I could give this no stars I would…read more I've been dealing with a shoulder injury for a while now and decided to do something about it. I fell from a horse about 5 years ago on my shoulder and messed it up while rowing on the crew team in high school. I had MRIs done at Yale New Haven Hospital (I'm originally from CT) stating that I had a few things wrong with it (the specifics I'm not entirely sure of). I decided to give this place a chance because they were local and the doctors listed on their website have a lot of experience. First of all, this place has barely any lights inside. It's like walking into a cave! The ladies at the front desk were very polite, however. Then I was taken in to see Dr. Green - easily the most unprofessional doctor I've met in my life. He came into the room without saying a word or introducing himself and shoved his hand in my face looking for a handshake. Then he asked me what was wrong and had me do a series of tests for range of motion and strength. I told him most of them hurt. I gave him the DVD of the MRIs I had and he spent 5 minutes looking at them silently. He said he didn't see anything wrong with my shoulder and asked if I had done physical therapy before, to which I replied yes - and that it had done nothing but make my shoulder hurt more. He told me to go to physical therapy for a month and then come back, wrote something on a piece of paper to give to the girls at the front desk and walked out without saying anything. I decided to go to another doctor for a second opinion. Dr. Green and his practice aren't getting another DIME of my insurance money. Long story short - if you like going to rude doctors who work out of dingy offices, this is the place for you.

The problem is that I was issued an extra vertebra in my spine, in the lower back. The curve of the spine, in that location, is deeper and my midback tries to keep me balanced anyway. But the upper back and my neck get involved and each becomes a bit out of place to make up for the design quirk right at the base of the whole spine. Surgery is not an option ! It has never been an option. Chiropractic care has been the answer to the stiff muscles and irritated nerves that go with that extra little bone sending mis-alignment up the whole spine. Dr. Nehra's plan of care has exceeded that of all the others which my job transfers have brought me nearby. They were each very good practitioners. But I repeat: he is at the top. And he creates a staff which supports and contributes to such outcomes for everyone they care for.
