As a parent, that gives me real peace of mind knowing my son is in good hands every day. What really sets this place apart, though, is the community Kristin has built. It's more than just daycare -- it feels like a genuine, supportive network of families. We feel so lucky to be part of it, and I'd recommend Kristin and her team to any parent looking for a place that truly cares.

We love Michelle--she is hands down one of the most loving, attentive, and nurturing teachers we've ever met. From day one, she treated our son like her own, always on the floor with the kids playing, reading books, doing puzzles, or simply letting him sit in her lap. It meant everything to know he was so genuinely cared for during such an important stage of his life. Kristin runs an incredibly well-organized program and is an excellent communicator. We always knew our son's schedule, and we really appreciated how thoughtfully it was adjusted as he grew throughout his first year. The consistency, flexibility, and attention to detail made us feel completely at ease as parents. We also loved how much time the kids spent outdoors--daily fresh air, play, and exploration were clearly a priority and something our son thrived with. On top of that, the arts and crafts projects are amazing--creative, developmentally appropriate, and such sweet keepsakes. We are so grateful for this school and the incredible teachers who make it feel like a second home.

From the time he was…read morejust 10 months old until nearly 4 years old (2021 to 2024), he spent his days surrounded by love, laughter, learning, and the kind of care that is truly hard to put into words. As brand-new parents, the idea of handing our baby over to someone else's care was nerve-wracking. It was the first time we had ever let him out of our sight. But from the very first meeting, Ms. Ana put our fears to rest. Our son connected with her right away. There was an immediate warmth and a sense of safety that we could feel, and that early bond only grew stronger over the years. Ms. Ana and her team didn't just take care of our son. They truly loved him. They guided him, celebrated him, and gave him the kind of attention and encouragement that every child deserves. Her home is filled with joy and structure, and she creates an environment where children can feel both comfortable and inspired to grow. Ms. Ana's backyard is also incredible: a spacious, thoughtfully designed area full of engaging sensory activities, outdoor play structures, and creative spaces where kids can explore, imagine, and move their bodies. Our son spent countless happy hours out there, and it made a huge difference in his development and overall happiness. At home, he was a picky eater, but somehow he always ate everything at Ms. Ana's. Her homemade meals were not only healthy and nourishing, but also made with love. She also took incredible care with his food allergies and made sure he always felt safe and included. Ms. Ana was also deeply attentive to his sleep needs. She didn't force a rigid one-size-fits-all nap schedule. Instead, she paid attention to what he needed and worked with us to create a routine that helped him stay well-rested and emotionally regulated throughout the day. Knowing he was getting that kind of care gave us real peace of mind. Beyond the care, what truly set Ms. Ana's House apart was the learning. She built a thoughtful and personalized learning environment that sparked our son's curiosity and helped him develop a love of discovery. He came home every day eager to share songs, stories, and art projects. We especially appreciated the take-home activities that enriched his learning and gave us a chance to be part of the process. Many of the interests and skills he has today were nurtured during his time there. Ms. Ana also builds a genuine partnership with parents. She always made time to listen to our concerns, welcomed our input, and worked collaboratively with us to support his growth. She was attuned to his needs while also encouraging him to try new things and gain confidence in himself. When it was time for him to graduate to preschool, it was incredibly bittersweet. We were excited for the next chapter but so sad to leave such a special place behind. To this day, we still visit Ms. Ana because our son loves to see her. His face lights up the moment we walk in, and that says everything about the lasting impact she has had on our family. We will always be grateful to Ms. Ana, her staff, and her family. They gave our son a foundation of love, learning, and security that was above and beyond. We truly consider them part of our own family. If you have the chance to enroll your child at Ms. Ana's House, do it. It is the kind of care every parent dreams of finding.

For the most developmentally critical months of her life, she has been under Ms. Ana's care. It is an understatement to say that the environment has been nurturing; Ms. Ana and the day care have played such a formative role in supporting my daughter with a comforting, learning, playing, growing home-outside-of-home that have helped to develop great confidence and happiness. She is thriving. And she is so excited to go back to Ms. Ana's every day! The care has been matched to every developmental stage -- but most of all, matched to my daughter as an individual. When we first started, Ms. Ana quickly established a more regular routine with naps and meals that were a great comfort to our daughter (and her parents). Ms. Ana played a leading role in supporting our daughter's transition to solid foods, and helping to establish an extremely positive and healthy relationship with eating everything on her plate. It's easy when there are two delicious, healthy, cooked-from-scratch meals catered to the children. Engaging learning activities have evolved with my daughter's blossoming mind rather than specific age ranges. Ms. Ana always has a sense for where my my daughter needs a bit of extra attention to support or to amplify. As my daughter has gotten older and her vocabulary is expanding, Ms. Ana started sending some "homework" that my daughter loves; books to read and vocabulary flash cards. There have also been creative arts and crafts projects, leading to many mementos we are able to hold on to :) Ms. Barbara, who leads the administrative side, also supports in the early childhood education pedagogy and is also such a wonderful and supportive caregiver and advocate of our daughter and her needs and wants. It is also an understatement to say that Ms. Ana's House is a daycare. It is truly a cultivated community, with family activities and events, celebrations and birthday parties, and daily fun at drop off and pick up. We are incredibly grateful to have been able to share this critical developmental time in our family's life with Ms. Ana's House and look forward to more amazing moments to come.

Our daughter (now 14 months) has been going full time to Farias for a few months now. As a new parent, it is the most comforting feeling to know that our daughter is in such great care during the day. Here are a few amazing things about Farias daycare: 1) Warm and attentive staff: Silvina, Katy, Isabella, and the entire team at Farias care deeply about each and every kid. They are so excited to see our daughter in the morning and she is equally as excited! They have loads of age-appropriate toys, they throw fun birthday parties, they play outside with water, balls, etc., and they encourage all of the kids to play well together (our daughter has developed so many new friends :). They just really love all of the kids who they care for. 2) Nurturing care (eating and sleeping): The kids who attend Farias are eating good! Farias provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks and the food is healthy + delicious. There is also a dedicated room for daytime naps and a member of the staff is always in the room if there are any kids napping. Our daughter always comes home full and well-rested. 3) Accelerate development: We've noticed a material acceleration in our daughter's development since starting daycare. The daily activities at Farias, like music, stories, and playing, and the exposure to interacting with the other kids have increased her curiosity, language development, and motor skills, which we think is directly attributable to starting at Farias. 4) Communication and professionalism: Diego and Silivina are consummate professionals. They are prompt communicators, they are quick to address any potential concerns (e.g., identifying a sick kid), and they are thorough and detailed in any asks they have of the parents (e.g., any state requirements as a licensed daycare facility). Farias uses an app to share updates on all the daily activities (meal times, wet/poopy diapers, sleep times, etc), which is very helpful. They also charge a very fair rate for everything that is included in their services, compared to other daycare options we initially explored. And lastly, they do an incredible job of fostering a sense of community for both the kids and the parents. We would 100% recommend Farias daycare to any parent and we are so thrilled that we found this incredibly special place!

Elle's warm spirit and loving nature has been a comfort from day one, and it has been remarkable to watch our son grow up here. Our son learned sign language which was so helpful when he was learning to communicate and having the ability to sign avoided tantrums when he couldn't say the word yet! I especially love that all the kids get to be around each other, from infants up to the big kids! The littles learn so much from the bigger kids and the bigger kids learn how to be around infants - especially helpful if you have another little one on the way! After…read morevisiting numerous home child care facilities that we found on connections for children (http://www.cfc-ca.org/), Espe was clearly the best choice from the moment we walked in. Her home is a safe, clean, and fun place for the children. She works very hard to not only keep them happy but also teach them good habits. She rarely, if ever, turns on the TV, but often has music playing. She dances with the kids and makes the babies smile. Our son, who is 6 months old, took to her very soon after meeting her (which is rare for him). We feel very comfortable leaving him there all day. Espe is currently taking early childhood education classes at UCLA. This clearly shows in her philosophy of child care. My wife and I are both grad students, so we really like this. Espe also has many years of experience nannying for a family. Compared to large daycare facilities, her prices are very good. She is licensed for up to 8 children (I think) and she recently hired someone to help her when there are more than 3 children. The helper is also a UCLA extension student. I highly recommend Espe for new parents. If you would like any more information or an update on our experience with her, feel free to message me.

Now, our 1-year old is also enrolled at Espe's and is developing extremely well, is healthy, and very happy. Both of our children love being around Espe, Karla, and Liliana. Their dedication to the well being of my children and the other children currently enrolled is greatly appreciated, since my children speak fondly of Espe's Daycare even when they are not there. I think the Daycare offers everything for a child to develop in all ways. my children are able to communicate in sign language, Spanish, English, love music and dancing (in-house musician every week), and most importantly, are around children of multiple races, ethnicities, religions, ages, and interests. I highly recommend Espe's Family ChildCare to any parent interested in the development of their child. Let me know if you'd like more info about my experiences at Espe's Family Childcare.

Any concerns we had with our daughter at home were also noticed by Ms Jackie and her fellow teachers, and they helped us get our daughter through the concerns. I personally was not looking forward to potty training. Ms Jackie took that anxiety away and essentially did the potty training for us while showing so much patience and love with our little one (and us parents too) Our daughter graduated from LHT (yes, there is a graduation ceremony) and was completely ready for TK, knowing how to act in a classroom setting, and being further along in her education than most of her peers. There was also a strong community among the families attending here which helped us as well.

At just 2 yo, our child was "uncooperative" bc he wanted help putting on sneakers, putting on jacket, climbing on & off the big potty. Power struggles around these things at school corresponded with reports of acting out: yelling "go away" at teachers, not eating -- behavior we never saw at home. When we met about this, the director was not willing to look for causes or solutions within the context of the classroom. Her sole response was to instruct us to match the school's very high independence expectations at home, which we did. We had no difficulty teaching our son to consistently put on his own shoes, unassisted, at 2 yrs 3 mos old, when we did so with love and patience. Meanwhile, this apparently persisted as a big issue for the school. After our initial meeting, the only update we ever got was "no change" or "no improvement." In our final weeks here, conflict at school around the director's insistence that our young 2 yo use the adult-size potty instead of the training one corresponded with sudden potty anxiety & uncharacteristic signs of shame. Breakdowns in communication & trust caused us to abruptly leave just a week before our planned last day. Leaving on bad terms was hard on our child and sad for us. We went from being the school's biggest champions to feeling very concerned and mistrustful. There are so many lovely things about the school: thoughtful curriculum, field trips, homemade meals, etc. However, the extreme pressure placed on children to meet age-inappropriate independence standards really backfired for our son who is a super happy, easy, capable kid at home. We feel regretful about placing him in an environment where he was treated like a bad kid for being a normal toddler who wanted help from his caretakers. I'd strongly recommend asking parents who have recently left about their experience before enrolling, as there is a pattern of families leaving earlier than intended from this school.
