There's a scene in the film John Wick where the title character, played by Keanu Reeves, dispatches a dozen Russian henchmen inside his home and makes a huge mess in the process. He then has to make a call to his "cleaners" to take care of the issue and return his home to mint condition. The group of men show up and in a matter of minutes John Wick's place is good enough for an open house. I can't help thinking about this scene after my multiple dealings with Westside Electric. I know, this sounds really sketchy, let me explain. I needed multiple ceiling fans installed and an electric vehicle plug put in the garage. An appointment was made with Westside Electric and to the exact scheduled minute, the doorbell rang, standing in the driveway was Bryan, William, Seth and Cameron looking extremely focused and ready for business. They entered my home practically single file and then split off into each room of the house to tackle individually assigned tasks. This was a true team and they functioned like a well oiled machine. Before I realized it they were completely done, taking much less time than I anticipated. They packed up their tools and left without leaving a single speck of dirt behind. I almost felt like doing my best Keanu impression and paying then in gold coins. Bottom line, Westside Electric is outstanding! Every member is meticulous, knowledgeable, fast and professional. They did such an amazing job with the fans and plug I have since brought them back to install a second electric vehicle charging plug, a spotlight in the backyard and exterior lights on the front of the house. I could not be happier with the results and will absolutely be using them again. I highly recommend you do the same. read more

We blew an outlet in one of our bathrooms and had to find an electrician - after hours. I found Westside Electric here on Yelp and read all the 5 star reviews and decided to give them a call. I talked to Pat and he was very helpful, trying to help me troubleshoot our problem. When we figured out it couldn't be fixed via phone, Pat said he would come by in the morning. Pat came by and checked our breakers. After his initial inspection, he talked to us re an issue w the breakers that should be addressed. He explained why it was an issue and how we, or anyone we know, could fix it ourselves. But knowing how we and electricity don't get along, we decided to have him fix it for us. Pat then went to check on the outlet that blew and showed us what was wrong - why it blew. Turned out we were lucky. We are the first owners of our house and the wiring - as well as the outlets have never been updated in 40+ years. Pat pointed out where the wire melted when it blew. He also said the outlets and such should be updated every 30 years. Hearing how it could have melted in the walls and possibly started a fire... Scary stuff. Needless to say, we made an appointment to have all of our outlets and switches updated. That happened today. The workers, Jake and - I forgot - who showed up were very professional, personable and friendly. They got the job done, checked to make sure the light switches worked and cleaned up after themselves. I am so glad I found W. S. E. on Yelp. And now I can leave my 5 star review! read more

No Stars. I worked for this Company. Got hurt ON THE JOB. Pat (the owner) told me he didnt want to make a Workers Comp Claim. Because his Rates would increase. But he would pay for me to go to a Chiropractor. Although my Back wasnt the problem, I went anyway. They hurt me and made things worse. Needless to say I got a Lawyer. But it has 3months and Im STILL HURT and NOT RECEIVING Treatment. This Company is more worried about the way there Trucks look and Button down shirts they there guys or the work itself. He also made a Young worker pay for a Dented Fender on a truck. ANOTHER INSURANCE ISSUE. Not sure if they even have Proper Insurences. Call another company. Dont fill these guys Pockets anymore. I am very picky about my home and who I allow in my home. After having an electrical issue I had no choice but to research my available choices. I noticed that Westside electrical had some of the best ratings on Yelp. That meant either they had friends pad their reviews or they are worthy of the stars they have received. I decided to take a chance on giving my top two choices a call. As you guessed it my first call was booked up for the year it's only December 19th! I made a call to Westside and they were booked too! However they said they would make it work. They finished a job in Newberry park and came to my home. They showed up with an up beat attitude and a presentable appearance. In minutes they diagnosed the problem a short in the attic which caused a GFI to go bad. I was very happy that they were not the average electricians who scratched their heads while the money clock was ticking. It was more about fixing the issue rather than about the money.... I have added them to my contacts and will be using them in the event I have another electrical issue. Your home is probably your biggest investment you will ever make. When it comes to maintenance, why take chances with electrical issues. Your life and property depend on someone who knows what they are doing, break bread and live worry free. Highly impressed by this company! I recently bought a fixer upper and needed extensive electrical work done. My realtor had recommended two companies to try so I did... unfortunately! I won't put those companies on blast, but they were way overpriced and unprofessional. More importantly, they didn't even fix my problems!! I first spoke to a manager named Patrick who was really professional and clear on how they would help me. The electricians that showed up were pleasant and seemed to work fast. That is about the only good things I can say unfortunately. I had a power failure downstairs that stumped one company for a few days, so when these guys showed and said they will get my power back on, I was happy. The problem was the work these guy did ended up being all undone by a 3rd company who corrected everything and was able to have my power restored in just a few hours. Basically the Westside Electric guys tried to sell me on needing to re wire my whole house and saying I had some unsafe wiring done in the house. Well after about 4 hours and about 6 holes cut in my wall, I was out just over $600. It seemed like everything was good to go, except later that night when going up stairs, I found out the hard way by not checking all outlets in the house that additional outlets had stopped working because of the work they did (they were working before they showed up). The kicker to it all was, the technician said his boss would call for a quote to re wire the whole house, but it's been about 2 weeks and he never called. So to sum up, I spent just over $600 for 6 new holes in my wall and to have a different power problem in my house, which all their work ended up being re wired and also to find out, the holes these guys put in were not needed at all. Very impressive then very disappointing. Wanted a ceiling fan installed on a high, sloping ceiling. Pat came out, no problem, knew exactly what to do. Buy this size fan with this special mount for an angle ceiling. Call me when you have the fan. Took awhile to get the fan and mount, then we called for appointment to install. Never called with an appointment time despite several requests, and never responded to email. Presumably decided he couldn't do the job but didn't have the courtesy to say so. Took our business to another company which spotted an additional installation problem and worked around it. read more

Contracted to hook up AC unit at panel and install new breaker switch. Breaker switch was faulty and in the process of installing the faulty switch knocked out the 220v breaker switch to the dryer. Took us several days to figure out the problem. Returned and put in new switches but charged us $130 for the breaker switch they broke! Would never use again! read more

This review is LONG overdue!!!! We arrived home from a trip to New York to find we had no electricity. I called and spoke to Pat that morning. He stopped working on another job and came over to our house within an hour. Edison had already been to my house and identified the problem as a master breaker which Pat confirmed. He called around to find the correct part which took a little time. He had us up and running in minimal time which was much appreciated. Since we live in a Mobile Home Park, Pat thought that the "tower" which housed the master breaker was part of the park's equipment and I should check into that. I submitted the bill to the park office and they used it as a credit against my space rent!!!! We can't thank Pat and Westside Electric enough for their prioritizing our job over another and fixing the problem in minimal time.
