Edan helped me out of a jam. The motor on my garage door broke as the result of a broken spring. He replaced the spring and offered to replace it with two springs which I asked him to do. That was $500. He also offered to install a new motor. It was pricier than I was prepared for, so I left the garage door as it was and manually opened and closed it every day. A year later, I was getting some work done on the house. One of my neighbors came over to chat about it and saw the garage door opener that I had purchased and planned on installing myself. Turns out he does garage door work, so he offered to do it for me. The first thing he noticed was that the door didn't open easily. He took a look at the springs and noticed that one of the springs was broken and that they weren't sufficient for the weight of the garage door. After he replaced the springs with stronger ones, there was an immediate difference in the heft of the garage door. My neighbor assured me that the motor would burn out within a couple of years with the weight those springs would have had to carry. I mentioned this to Edan and sent him pictures. Edan took a look at the springs and acknowledged that one of them was overtensioned. He also claimed that the springs were strong enough. I asked if he'd be willing to refund some of the money and own some of the responsibility and he didn't reply back.
