I haven't ever had a really bad experience here. The owners are an Asian couple, and while he's really friendly, his wife is brusque and doesn't make eye contact if she can help it. The selection and pricing are what you'd expect from a strip center liquor store, which means you won't find anything that knocks your socks off. Most of the staff is polite, but I wouldn't count on them to help you pick out a wine for a special occasion. And it's close to where I live, so if I need something at the last minute, I can usually find it here. read more

I'm moving back now and stopped in today and I was picking up two truly's The price said two for six dollars and it rang up $7.50 and so I pointed it kindly out to the clerk, name tag said "them/them" , And she was all rude in front of the other people in line And said I can't change the price the system won't let me change the price - almost yelling. No apology or anything. She kept saying I can't give you a discount. Wasn't asking for a discount. Just asking to be charged what they sign said. Do not use! I have purchased from Westside Liquor for years. I ordered from them using Drizly. The driver picked up my order from Westside Liquor store, drove around with it for an hour, then marked it as delivered. I was watching the tracker and it was no where near my house when it was marked delivered. I never received it. I've contacted Westside liquor store and Drizly and both said it was delivered to the address. It was not delivered! You'd think they would have proof of it being delivered, like a drivers license scan. I'll contact my credit card company for a charge back. I guess the driver has my wine. I have lived in Highlands Ranch for more than 3 decades. I have shopped at multiple liquor stores over the years. Take Bacchus Wine & Spirits for instance. However, if you email them about something you want that they don't carry -they will not respond! They have brought in beers that I requested but never wine and only when asked in person or phone. Westside Liquor is above the pack. I emailed them (bizegroup1@gmail.com) asking them to bring in Avery Quinntikki. I went in a week later and they gave me the 1 bottle that was distributed to them for free! The new owners of Westside Liquor have a MUCH bigger selection of beers, wines & spirits than the original owners did and they are friendlier as well! The staff are always helpful and you can count on them to answer an email. So, do yourself a favor and shop there -you will be glad you did! read more

To be fair I have to update my review from many years ago. They are under new management and although the place looks the same, the atmosphere is better. Their beer selection has changed considerably. Three+ doors of craft beers, a singles cooler - is a huge improvement. Visited this store because it was on my way home and I was very pleased with their beer selection. They had quite the variety of both local brews as well as the usual beers. I was looking for a few specific beers- Alaskan Amber, 805, and Denver Beer Co. Graham Cracker Porter and they had them all. The guy at the register was efficient and friendly. This place has just switched to new owners and we had a great experience on our first visit. The staff was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. The inventory was very impressive as well. They have a large selection in all price ranges, including several bottles of premium wines, champagne and many more. The store looked organized and clean and the display was on point. this place is ok for products. but for customer service, it's a bit disconcerting. i Overheard a skinny male employee in late 20s or early 30s, Call a female customer "darling". Date was 16 of sept around 530 pm. The woman was take by surprise and was obviously uncomfortable. He did not know the woman personally..she was just asking where a certain wine was located. seems like the employee needs some coaching on how to be a helpful clerk. I've have frequented this store for years, but unfortunately the service has gone down over the last year. Additionally, I was double charged for a 6-pack of beer - and instead of them apologizing, they put me through the 3rd degree. I had to fight for my refund and have them review their security video. Shelves are covered in dust, mold is growing in the beer cooler. Specifically in the box of limes they keep in there. Floors are always sticky and never very clean. The owners (Ben and Suni) are very rude. They patronize their employees and their customers. When it comes to payday, they'll wait until the last minute to hand out the checks, mail the checks ON payday, or they'll forget completely and go home early for the evening without paying their employees, making them wait over the weekend for their paycheck. I used to work at this location and was very disappointed how it was ran. The owners both were very rude to their employees and customers. I was told not to tell customers for the case discount that the bottlers were to be $30 of less otherwise they wouldn't receive 10% off per bottle. I notified the owner of the mold I found all over the racks in the beer cooler and he just laughed and told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I would highly suggest going to Bacchus wine and spirit, the pricing will be the same but you will receive better customer service and experience. read more

I agree with the last post, I believe it is under new ownership. I was in over the weekend and the store appeared to be very clean, organized and the owner/partner (Kumar) was very friendly. I actually had a business question for him to see if I could possibly discuss a partnership with them in some capacity. Even though he was busy with a few customers, he stopped and said that he would be willing to meet with me next week and would call me after taking my card. I followed up today and he was pleasant and we set an appointment up to meet. In my experience, most liquor store owners won't give you the time of day to hear what you have to say and are not friendly about it. Kumar seems different and I would expect he treats his customers with respect. read more

Okay, since they're the only liquor store in town that has Fat Tire kegs for the 'ol kegerator, I'm going to have to bump them up to 3 stars. Sure their kegs are $10 more expensive than the mega stores, but it's worth the $10 to not have to drive ten miles to the nearest one. read more

This liquor store has good selection. Parking is a little bit difficult. I don't really like how they sort their wine, which is divided into domestic/foreign and then alphabetized by vineyard, which is not very useful unless you are looking for wine from a specific winery and you know its name. They often have good deals on the end caps of the aisles. Personally I prefer Bacchus Wine & Spirits for a Highlands Ranch liquor store. read more

I on multiple occasions have asked the owner to evaluate his prices. He is also very rude when I suggest it. Example: Macallan 12 is 49 dollars at most Liquor stores and a it can be found at Davidson's for that price, his price is 60. The owner told me his price we real and that my price I suggested was impossible. The conversation at that time ends and nothing to discuss. This is why the new liquor law allowing grocery stores to compete would be best for Colorado. Even though it's against my grain being that I am a small business advocate, but when people like this guy act like they do and blow you off it really aggravates me. Service is horrible. Wines are totally out of place and their high end wines are at the front of the store soaking up all the heat and light from the windows. I asked about this and was made to seem like I was an idiot and spoken down to. Obviously that who ever is in charge of the wines has no clue. Although convenient next to King's Market their service is terrible. I spent over a $100 for a case of wine with no discount and they cannot even give me the box which the wine came in. The box was too small and I almost lost a bottle putting it in my car. They do not provide a shopping cart. I will never return. read more
