Very friendly and helpful employees. I met their "whiskey guy" and talked about a few of their recent bourbon Barrell picks. I picked up a recent private Barrell ECBP pick (cannot recall the name - has a Danny DeVito sticker on the back). The store has a great layout, lots of beer, wine, and other spirits to choose from and was clean and inviting. Good location, with a large parking lot (for those times when everyone is bum rushing the local liquor store!). I will definetely stop by this store the next time I'm in the Lone Tree area. read more

Again. Disappointed. I ordered from them tonight and their delivery driver marked that the delivery was complete.. clearly it was not so I called the store and spoke to Aaron who said that due to the 2 inches of snow that his delivery driver might be in the area and have marked it complete and would be there in a few minutes. No the delivery driver never arrived and still marked it as complete and then canceled the order. This happened with them a year ago when I spoke to a different supervisor there named Michael. I don't care if you have to cancel the order, but they continue to lie and mark that it was completed when it was not. It appears that the store management does not care or is wholly incompetent. Honestly, their prices are not that good and clearly their customer service is subpar so I would not order there again. read more

This is in my neighborhood, so it's my go-to. The employees are super helpful and usually knowledgeable. I love añejo tequila, and I'll try new ones upon recommendations. Prices are fair, sale prices good. Selection is decent for a store of its size. This isn't a mega-store like Molly's or Total. Or even Lukas. But I can find most of my favorites, and they do bring in new tipples, so no complaints :) read more

My uncle passed away a few weeks ago and lived in Florida but they had the wake back in Colorado where he was from. I couldn't make it out but wanted to send some gin. It was his drink. I called after placing an order on DoorDash and asked the store to throw in a note and instead they wrote a lovely card. It made my extended family's day to have it as a surprise. All the stars. When you can buy two 1.75 liters of (good)vodka for $30, you know you've hit the jackpot. Best prices in town - hands down. Best selection of wine, beer and liquor - hands down. Best point system/discount once you've spent $100. Best location - close to home and on the corner of Lincoln and Quebec! When speaking about wine I say this " if you have $400.00 dollars you can buy a $400.00 dollar bottle of wine. I arrived there with their advertisement in hand but once there I found that they had EXCELLENT prices on a LARGE variety of wines. The service I received was awesome. Shawn was stocking the shelves and when I asked him where a particular bottle might be, he stopped what he was doing and gave me a personal tour of the store pointing out great deals. We can't say enough about Highlands WineSeller and the team that helped us get everything we needed for our wedding. We wanted to stay local with all our vendors and HWS was an easy decision based on my past experiences at the store. For our wedding event, Yonni was extremely helpful with initial wine suggestions. Michael, the stores sommelier, reviewed our menu and helped refine the pairing suggestions. And finally, Robert was amazing (working through the holiday weekend) to help get our order placed. I was driving along looking for something to do. I had already visited the book store. I had gotten off work a bit early (I was traveling on business). So, what else to do to kill time but peruse a wine store. This place is HUGE. And I mean that in a good way. They have a nice size chilled room too where all the high end wine is. I've never seen that at a Bev Mo in LA...I thought it was pretty cool. The best part about the Wine Seller is the manager. He personally approached me and admired my selection of an Oregon Pinot Gris. He made some great suggestions including what turned out to be a fabulous Spanish white that I'd never heard of. Bravo! While my wife and I tend to go up the street to Davidson's Liquors for the prices and selection most of the time, once in a while Highlands Wine Seller has a sale that makes their prices on select products far below the prices of the rest of the local liquor market. They send flyers out in the mail that detail their prices and give the customer an additional 10% off sale items other than beer. If you get one of these flyers in the mail, head into the store with it in hand and you'll save a bundle. Staff is reasonably friendly and knowledgeable, there's plenty of parking and the store is clean and presentable. Tastings on the weekends. They used to have live music on the weekends too, but I haven't seen that in a while. Worth a trip, especially when there's a big sale with deep discounts going on. read more

This is a DANGEROUS Store! I happened upon it while on a search for lunch today. I walked out having spent $70.00! So many things at great prices! I grabbed a bottle of Pinnacle vodka 1.5L for 7.99! They have a huge selection of basically everything. I spent nearly an hour browsing before I realized I needed to get back to work. I could not believe how reasonable things were. They appear to work on a low margin, high volume model. I have been to a few other stores in the area and in my own area and I will certainly be coming here from now on. Apparently, if you're not happy with how an order through Drizly is mishandled, they will put you on a "do not deliver" list. Not for my fault, but their own. I made an order a few weeks back, they totally screwed it up, and of course...I was upset. I expressed my displeasure, and I guess they aren't fond of criticism or complaints, since they have expressed that they will no longer deliver to me based on my rightfully deserved complaint. It's fine, I have exactly zero qualms of going to Safeway or Zen...which are nearer and always have anything I want in stock and available, unlike HWS....so, I'll be more than happy to give them my business from now on. Today I was accused of shoplifting from their store because my girlfriend and I walked out without making a purchase (due to their lack of selection). Made us both empty our pockets in front of the entire store. When nothing was found the employee (Kirk) had no apology but rather turned around upset he didn't bust someone. 15 minutes later I called to speak with a manager to say how unprofessional and embarrassing that was, to which the manager (Russ) said it happens a lot so we have to be careful. Nothing done to win back business, or make up for wrongfully accusing me of shoplifting. Poorest excuse for customer service, awful profiling, will never go back. read more

Best wine/liquor shop in town. They have everything you could ever need in there but for us the real plus is their wine selection and pricing. Everyone is so educated on their products and they always steer me in the right direction. They have wine FREE wine tastings Fridays and Saturdays and the bottles are always so reasonably priced to buy from tastings $7-$15. We also really enjoy good wine, they have a temp controlled room for nicer bottles. Silver Oak is a favorite and their bottles are considerably cheaper then anywhere else in town by 10%-15%. What I like about these guys is their green initiative. They have a lovely bottle tote bag good for buying 750 mls and wines. I think you get something like 3% off every time you use it. There's also a discount on Tuesdays, I think it's like 5% off on those days, and the discounts stack. That much I remember, so it makes a slightly overpriced bottle of something the best deal in area. read more

The Wine Seller in Highlands Ranch is engaged in a Bait and Switch campaign. They lore you into their store with coupons that they do not honor. When you present the coupon at the register you're told that the price ends with an 8 and is not part of their promotion. Nowhere on the coupon is that stated; they post little notes on the shelves under the product you want to buy. This is a deceitful practice of bait and switch that now has me never again going to the Wine Seller in Highlands Ranch. read more

This is by far the best wine/liquor store in all of Colorado! Every time I have been in this store has been a great experience and it's always something new that seems to impress me. 1. FREE! Wine tastings on Friday's and Saturdays (including a very knowledgeable staff that can answer any questions that I have) 2. A very clean and unique environment , especially their floor to ceiling glass bodega that has cork floors! Also everything is very organized. 3. An incredible selection and great prices. Also, there have been a few occasions in which they don't have a rare bottle of wine that I am looking for but they can order almost anything and they even give me a call when it comes in! 4. A very friendly staff including the two owners Paul and Bob, both of which are at the store helping customers when they need it. 5. Well I actually have hundreds of reasons why I like this place but I don't want you to have to read a novel, if you don't believe me go and see for yourself how great this place is!
