Everyone here is so kind!! I came in with a few questions about wine and the man at the counter was able to help me pick out a great wine for any budget I decided to have. He was generous and answered every question I had fully :) then I was looking for another wine and I couldn't find it. The rest of the staff ran around the store quickly looking for the brand and flavor I wanted. They came with multiple bottles, sadly none of them were correct, but they were more than welcome to help me out anyway. I've been going here for years and they have a great selection of beer, wine and spirits. Their prices are reasonable and competitive. I like the small humidor on the side. It has a descent selection of cigars, enough to get you buy for a night. The one thing this liquor store could do better is keep their beer colder. I've found this a consistent practice in Colorado. The prices are surprisingly lower than I expected for a village center location. Infact, there are times that their hard alcohol is priced the same as Davidson, Lucas or Tipsy's. I see a lot of people crying about customer service like they expect everyone behind a counter to have a smile plastered across their face while they're clocked in. This place is great! I walk in, I stroll through picking out my booze. Get to the counter, hand whoever is there my ID and debit card. If it's multiple bottles they ask me if I'd like a box. I pay and I leave. Most hassle free, no small talk/ useless chitchat "how's your day? Thanks for coming by! " and maybe some people LIKE to be real and just walk in, get your shit and walk out. I do. I work in sales and I have to talk to people and smile for 14 hours a day sometimes and damnit if I just wanna buy my bourbon from a store that doesn't make me play along with more polite chit chat. I've been coming here a few more times recently, mainly because they have gotten Outer Range beer - which is difficult to get in Denver/Highlands Ranch in the smaller liquor stores. Good selection of pumpkin beers during October. You can tell they are trying to improve their selections. Clerks seem to be more attentive but sometimes you are hurried out. For a small neighborhood store this store offers good deals on low end wines and has most of the known mid to high end wines. For example opus 1, caymus cab and prisoner. Ignore any review stating they have lower end stuff only. Prices are a little higher than big chains but not bad for a small neighborhood store. read more

Tried to buy a bottle but the guy wouldn't sell it to me because I had someone underage with me. Despite the fact that I was 22 years old he said they had to "protect their license" although it was not a violation of state law. My husband went in last night to get a few brews for us after a long hard day at work. And I don't know if its because he gets dirty at work cause he works construction or cause he is Mexican but the cashier was very go lucky with the 3 customers before him. Starting conversation and thanking them for their purchase but when it was my husbands turn there was no hello he just took the beer rang it up and gave him the receipt to sign with no eye contact and no thank you. Today I spent 20 minutes browsing the "nice" wines and bought a $40 bottle. Not only wasn't I greeted or offered customer service, they barely spoke to me at the register. Absolute WORST! Just now was denied the "opportunity" to purchase our liquor for a party at this store. 6:02 PM, other customers still in the store, and told "WE'RE CLOSED." My wife and I drove out of our way to buy from Bacchus this evening due to a few products we found better priced by the case. This is my favorite wine store in Highlands Ranch. They are friendly and helpful. The selection is extensive and well-organized. The store is clean and well-lit. My only suggestion would be to label the wines by type (Merlot, Pinot Grigio, ...), as they are already sorted, rather than just labeling sections by region of origin. read more

GREAT PRICES but holy mackerel, what is the problem with service? I am there typically buying whiskey and their prices are not to be rivaled. But I always seem to get the African-American guy at the register and he is the rudest a-hole on the planet. Directed to owner. I have beeen shopping at Bacchus for over 18 years but I will never shop there again. I have been the asking the person who fills the orders, don't know his name to order me a case of New York Port for over 8 months, at least 20 times and today Friday 3/20/15 I asked him again as I know he orders cases of liquor for other customers and he told me I could get it off the shelves as other customers do as I did today (12 bottles) case. I come in every two weeks or so and order 2 cases of Bud Ice and a case of New York Port. I have been able to pick up a case of NYP that's boxed only three or four times in the last several years. I have been purchasing wine at Bacchus for over 2 years. The prices are good and it is convenient. The guys at the counter are hit or miss when it comes to greeting you when you walk in. Today I went in to purchase 2 bottles of wine. I asked the gentleman who was working if this brand came in Chardonnay. He didn't answer me right away and then shouted from behind the counter "no". He then proceeded to check out the customer in front of him and never bothered to come over to see if he help me with a different selection. I found what I wanted and proceeded to the register. The same gentleman was no where to be found but I heard him working with a store rep in the back of the store. I waited about 5 mins before he noticed me at the counter. I asked him if he was the owner and he said that he was the manager. I told him that he was not very helpful and that he made me wait while he helped the sales rep. He did apologize but then he said "It happens"! Hmm, not sure this situation called for an excuse... With so many liquor stores to choose from in that area, I will take me business where it's more appreciated! read more

This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They were completely rude and offered no help. The cashier took his sweet time in ringing me up and his demeanor was rude- I'm assuming because I look younger than 21. They than charged me twice and were not able to fix it over the phone.
