We were told over the phone that the rate for a small field was 75$ an hour and 95$ for an hour and a half. That seemed reasonable to us so we reserved a field. Upon getting there we checked in and were then told the price was now 115$ for an hour and a half for some strange reason. We played our hour and a half and it was time to pay when we were then asked for 135$. Needless to say we were both disappointed and angry with how we were treated with them lying to us several times. There was no explanation given and we had to pay 40$ more than what we were told. We will not be coming back ever.

They will take your rental fee, but they really don't want pickleball at their facility. To: jennifer@thecourtsofnwi.com Wed, Nov 12 at 9:33 PM Jennifer - We rented a court tonight from 7:30 to 9p for pickleball. When we arrived, we lowered the net to pickleball height. The man on the court next to us, who I'm told is the Chesterton HS tennis coach, yelled at us, "Do not adjust the nets". I went back up to the net to put it back to it's original position and again he yelled, "Do not adjust the nets", I told him we were putting the next back to the original height. Again, he yelled, "Do not adjust the nets". If there is a rule that the nets cannot be adjusted for pickleball, that's fine, but it needs to be communicated by the staff at the time of the rental. Alternately, the man on the court next to us could have come over and said, "Ladies, you probably don't know this, but we don't adjust the nets here because of XYZ". Four 50-something year old women being repeatedly yelled on a court we rented at $45/hour was not a good experience. In the future, please let rentals know they are not allowed the adjust the net.

The only time available was 8:30pm which was surprising how fast the slots booked up. I got a call about a week before the reservation from Maxine explaining to me that the youth soccer league schedule came out and they would have the field from 8:30pm til 9:30 pm at the latest. She apologized profusely and gave me some options. She asked if I wanted to start at 9:30pm, or come in at 8:30 and play dodgeball/kick ball/field hockey until the other field opened, or reschedule. We opted on coming in at 8:30 and playing dodgeball until our field opened up. To make up for the last minute change, Maxine said she'd buy us a round of drinks. On the day of, we had Christian as our host. Maxine had informed him of everything we discussed so there were no problems. We ended up getting beer for everyone in our party as an apology which was awesome. We even got a party room to put all our stuff down in since I booked this for my birthday. There were plates, cups and napkins set out for us. Bubble soccer was so much fun! It's super exhausting and hot inside the bubbles. Christian was there to be our referee but we told him we weren't really playing that seriously. Everything went so smoothly and was handled very professionally!
