In addition to the colorful purple, green, and gold dancing waters of this lovely fountain and the plaques displaying the names and logos of many, many mardi Gras Krewes, both past and present, there are several benches and picnic tables surrounding the fountain so folks can gather and sit a spell and enjoy the view and the breeze off the lake. Mardi Gras Fountain my favorite place to meet up with friends after work and watch the sunset.

However, every experience that I have had at the New Orleans office has been quick and pleasant. Recently, I glanced at my permanent resident card and realized I was eligible for citizenship. While it wasn't really at the top of my to-do list, I figured it was probably a good idea, especially with the absurd cost of replacing a lost PR Card (I already lost it once... never again). I submitted my paperwork and so far it has been a really quick and easy process. I've been to the NOLA office twice (once for fingerprinting, and then again for the interview/test). Both times the employees were wonderfully nice, thorough, and quick... which is nice, since I have to leave work to make the scheduled USCIS appointment times.

I recently found myself here as the matron of honor, florist, stylist, witness & wedding coordinator. I was pleased with the setting in this historical location and it had some great places to capture photos. Just four of us, the bride & groom and my young son, who was the flower boy, usher, witness, gave the bride away and was best man were in attendance. Our judge was lovely as the officiant of such momentous event .....and then we went back to New Orleans for our celebratory lunch. Easy peasy and now Miss is Mrs. Meow now! Wow!

The location has children's books as well as a few computers.
