We've been part of the Westwood family for five years, and we truly can't say enough wonderful things about this place! Our girls have participated in gymnastics, tumbling, dance, and cheer--and we absolutely love that all of those programs are offered under one roof. It has made life so much easier for our family while allowing our girls to explore and grow in so many different ways. The coaches are incredible. They genuinely care about each child, know when to encourage them, when to challenge them, and are always their biggest advocates. We've loved every coach we've had over the years, and it's been amazing to watch our girls grow in both skill and confidence because of their guidance. Westwood also puts on fantastic special events and summer camps that our girls always look forward to. The positive, supportive, family-like atmosphere is what keeps us coming back year after year. The first time we went in for a tour, a woman named Melody was in the office. She barely lifted her head and told us to walk around. No help at all. When I talked to Edna, she blew off my complaints and said Melody has been working there for a few years. So you hire rude and incompetent people and don't care. A couple of times , Jennifer answered the phone. Each time, she was rude and didn't want to help. Seems that they don't hire the best, but the office staff I Hope dont interact with children. I had two children there today for half day camp. There was no communication about buying sno cones today. The children felt left out and there is no plan for children who didn't have the $5. Surely the management could have helped them feel included and provided the treats. I know the response will be "then we would have to do that for everyone." No you don't. Communicate better and have a plan. We won't be going back. Staff are jist too rude to treat paying customers as though they're gum on the bottom of the shoe. read more

My daughter has attended gymnastics (Accelerated, Advanced, Nova) and tumbling classes for the past 3 years here. She has grown in both skill level and confidence. All of her coaches throughout the years/levels/classes have been attentive and helped her improve. The front office has always been responsive and helpful. Attaching the email reporting my interaction with the manager Jennifer so that you guys are aware of how she handles situations. I have had no issues until today. "Good Afternoon, I am reaching out to you today in regards to a conversation I had with someone named Jennifer from your office this morning. I would like to start by mentioning that my daughter has been coming to Westwood consistently with no complains for almost 10 months now. I called this morning to ask a very simple question, Jennifer did not listen to a single word that was coming out of my mouth. During our conversation, I would ask additional questions and instead of addressing the question I was asking she was repeating the same answer over and over again. She continued to cut me off as I spoke. She was jumping down my throat for a simple conversation. She was rushing me off the phone and provided NO help whatsoever. She was extremely short, impatient, rude, and unhelpful. She has absolutely ZERO customer service skills and this is coming from someone who has worked in customer service for over a decade. If this is the type of person you all have running your business, I am extremely concerned for your business. I'd like to also note that I have never been treated this way by anybody else in the office as everybody is normally very happy and helpful. I am not sure if she woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, but her attitude and tone of voice was unbelievably unprofessional. Now, the question I had was in regards to my credits. We currently have 5 credits on my daughters account. I was wondering if it is possible to pause my payment for next month to give me a chance to use the class credits I already paid for. I am not asking to exchange my credits for money (as Jennifer kept implying). The class credits on my account have already been paid for and I am not able to take my daughter multiple times a week due to my schedule. It would be more convenient if I could use up her class credits first then resume payments. If this is not the case, a simple, friendly response would do but instead Jennifer continued to be very hostile and rude in answering any questions. She stated that I cannot use the credits as money multiple times, which I am not trying to do, however, technically the credits are money because I have already paid in full for this class credits. Class credits shouldn't be offered if you guys are not going to make them available the way I need to use them. In this instance, you guys are technically holding my money and telling me I cannot use it for this months classes. That is not something that was outlined or told to me ahead of time, I was only told that if I missed a class, it would be available as a make up credit for up to a year. We were only here for birthday parties. In that, the staff interaction with the kids at the different stations went pretty well. My kid had fun each time she went. It's a great way to have the kids burn off some energy especially after eating cake! read more

the staff was rude yelling and screaming because my kids where tumbling on the Tumble mat and kids where everywhere and pushed my kids around and called my oldest a brat so his brothers got them back and a kid stole a university of Texas hand towel from my kid and he got super sad I loved this place when I was a kid wish they made it fun for everybody btw staff suck there where only a few good staff wish it was better things where also pretty expensive for a cold tinny pice of pizza for 2$! read more

We love Westwood! We have gone here for almost 4 years now. My daughter has progressed extremely quickly here with Coach Diamond and Coach JJ. I definitely recommend this place if you are trying to stray from the overly competitive aspect of gymnastics. We joined a few weeks ago and already put in a 30 day notice. The coaches are great however the front staff is not. I called in to ask if my daughter can attend a later session today because I was caught in traffic. She told me no, when I mentioned someone was able to accommodate me before she quickly transferred me. The next person refused to accommodate me saying I had to wait 3 days to make up the class. I just wanted to push back the class one hour but they refused. Maybe they don't like to be flexible, but accommodating me and offering me switch to a later class permanently would've been a better solution. I will take my business elsewhere as they lack customer service. read more

It's looks very nice however it is extremely crowded. There is no sense of spacing, so the girls are all crowded together which could cause injury. The teacher is inattentive. Often she is looking around the gym instead of paying attention to the class. read more

Great place for gymnastics and dance! My daughter takes gymnastics there and my son takes hip hop dance. The hip hop dance instructor (Brandon) is very nice and does a good job working with the kids. He has a sense of humor, seems to enjoy working with the kids, and is an excellent dancer. I really enjoyed watching him at the show they had during the summer. There is a tall, thin dance teacher with brown hair who isn't nearly as nice to to her dancers, or at least one of her dancers. She really belittled one of the little girls in the class I observed. I actually regret not reporting that to the woman in charge or the girl's mother. I know who the instructor is though, so I'll watch more carefully now to determine if this is a pattern of behavior. The gymnastics coaches range from good to excellent. I wish they wore name tags so I would know their names. That would also allow me to point out the outstanding ones ... but they don't. They have all been very nice to my daughter. I have no complaints about any of them. Why can't they find pleasant helpful employees for the office? The office staff is my least favorite aspect of this place. No matter how small the request, be prepared to be met with sighing that suggests you are are serious inconvenience. To be fair, some are better than others. Again, I wish they had name tags so the good ones could be separated from the bad. The leotards by Marie are well made and very cute. I would order more of them, but the book of sample fabrics is kept in the office. Oh well! Despite the problems, this is a great place. It's fun - the kids enjoy it and learn a lot.The coaches are obviously well trained. Most are quite skilled at encouraging the kids and pushing them to try new things, without forcing them to do something that scares them. The woman (blonde athletic) who seems to be in charge of the coaches is very nice to the children and seems to enjoy her work. read more

This place is HUGE! My kids come here sometimes during the summer because on select days, they can play from 9a-1p for only $15 (prepaid)! Recently, I had my son's 5th birthday here and my husband loved it that he was considering having his own birthday here (very doubtful). The kids were allowed to play in different sections for about 20 minute each with the "party people" assisting them during this time and making sure other kids are not entering the "party" space simultaneously. The kids loved it. Will definitely have a party here again with my last child and maybe again for my son when he turns 6. They are definitely one of the cheaper venues that have a party. read more

We had taken a trial class earlier this year & Coach Stephanie was amazing.. she was energetic & upbeat, you could tell she loved her job. So we signed up for classes this summer (thought it was with coach Stephanie). We walked into class today & were disappointed to see another coach but were still excited about class. Then it went downhill. We were never greeted, acknowledged or instructed when we arrived. So we just sat down & tried to follow along. We went to another area & the rudeness from the teacher continued. She never asked our names & when it was my sons turn on the bars she walked away instead of helping him. The entire time the teacher was unmotivated & seemed as if she hated her job. There was nothing upbeat or inviting about her. She seemed impatient & as if she wasn't fond of kids. She even rudely told another Mom her kid still half asleep & wouldn't work with him.. We left after 15 min. I told the office we wanted to unenroll & they refunded me everything but the $35 registration fee. I looked to see what the teachers name was today & it says coach Stephanie.. but it wasn't the coach Stephanie we had worked with before. read more

We are fairly new to westwood but I decided to cancel my membership due to how unclean the place is. The place is huge, very crowded. Masks not required. I would think there are viruses just floating around in the open air. It's so busy I don't think there's time in between classes to wipe down equipment. Also, the adults can wear shoes on the mats but the kids are shoeless. This doesn't make sense to me. read more

Another stop on the party circuit and its the good bad and ugly First the good: this place is large, for large parties it gives ample space But beyond that pretty disappointing. For the bad staff seems unhelpful starting from the checkin staff that just seems bored didn't even bother to tell us where to go. And being that the space is large there are multiple parties going on so it's hard to know what's going on. Also the staff seems more concerned about turning the parties over vs focusing on the bday kids. Staff is mostly just watching the kids versus playing with the kids almost to the point of being dull. The ugly: never heard so many tears at a party, the place seems more like a gymnastics center instead if a play place for kids. A lot of bumps and bruises, and bc they aren't really watching kids. Last but not least the spongy pits they jump in doesn't seem like they clean these as a kid came out with stuff stuck on their back that wasn't from thus party would be scared to think if someone had a potty accident in here Maybe your choices are limited for large spaces but to avoid the dangers and the smell I'd look elsewhere read more

My daughter has been at Westwood since 2014, and she took tumbling and dance. Westwood is amazing place for your child. They provide summer camps for the kids, open gym, etc. My daughter who's is in high school now brings her friends to open gym and they come back home with a big smile on their face. In 2018, the main dance director left Westwood and took everything and opened up a same exact place like Westwood, just in cypress. I would love for everyone to try the dance portion in Westwood. They're incredibly nice people, and the main teacher is so much reliable than the old one. read more

Was here for a party earlier today and am completely disgusted by the way staff served food. No gloves-pizza and cake were both served with bare hands. Cake was served with bare hands by an employee with long fake nails! Can I say nasty? I know what kind of germs those nails harbor and then kids and party goers are being exposed to. I don't understand how management doesn't supply gloves for safe food handling. They clearly allow this because they do not supply their employees with gloves and proper training for food handling. Do not send your little dancer here, teachers not accredited. You will not get what you pay for and management does not care. We wasted a whole season which culminated in a horrible and embarrassing recital. Do not do this to your child. Too many good dance schools out there with actual teachers. This place is greedy. The gymnastics coaches were nice however the gym was always extremely crowded. This made me concerned for my daughters safety. If each teacher has a full class, in a gym full of distractions it's easy for a child to be overlooked, or maybe not learning something correctly. As for ballet ms. Kelly (I believe that is her name) is terrible with small children. If you are going to place a teacher with 2-4 year olds make sure they are cut out to handle them. That age isn't for everyone, and that's okay. She may be great with the older girls. However, you're going to have some very angry parents as long as they have to leave their babies to deal with her. read more

First & most important, the coaches are absolutely awesome! My daughter takes 2 classes a week here & we have had many different coaches....they are all great & there's not one I wouldn't recommend. We've also done parents night out & had a birthday party here (as well as attended many parties)...always a great time & very well run! The only reason I can't get them 5 stars (& it probably warrants deducting TWO stars) is the front office staff seems to almost always have a bad attitude. Well, not fair to say the "staff" when it's really one bad apple. I've heard many complaints from other parents about this individual. I know some people complain about the office staff at this place, but really, our kids do not come here for the office staff! the coaches are the people our kids love!! Coach JJ is awesome for the tumblers and he has a group of coaches that really care about the kids! My daughter enjoys the clinics they offer and the friday night open gym! just wish that i could go with her and it not just be for the kids!! :) again, the office staff could use a few lessons in customer service, or better yet, just service with a smile, but its tolerable. read more

The coaches here are pretty good although mostly high school kids in the evenings which sometimes leaves a little to be desired. I had two daughters in the pre-school class which is broke into 4 skill levels. My oldest was in the most advanced of that group yet on multiple occasions she was put with the lowest skill level because their weren't any other kids at her skill level on the nights we came. When I made a comment to "Daisy" in the office that she was the only kid in the class at her skill level I got a shoulder shrug and the best "I don't care" look. Disappointing. Update - after calling the next day to cancel our membership, we were offered to move my daughter up to the next class. We'll see how things go. ONE OF THE COACHES PUT HIS HANDS ON MY SPECIAL NEEDS SON! Unfortunately and unexpectedly we had an awful experience. We took our lovely 6-year-old son Matt to this gym. Matt is a non-verbal autistic, and was innocently playing in one of the playgrounds (Mt. Westwood) at another kid's party. My husband was watching him and immediately took him away from that playground. The coach of those kids' party, (we got his name, SAMMY PORTALES) was visibly hostile to our son when he went back there, and was almost aggressive with him until he saw that my husband was watching the scene. I took turns with my husband to watch my kid, when COACH SAMMY AGGRESSIVELY PUSHED Matt and put his hands on him multiple times and took him away from that playground. Luckily Matt didn't get injured, but he cried a lot. This violent COACH SAMMY did not know I was watching. I went to spoke with him in regards to it and he was really RUDE and SARCASTIC acting like had not done anything wrong, and never even acknowledged any apologies for what he did. HE STILL SAID, "You can talk to the MANAGER, or even to the OWNER of this place. They will not do anything in regards to it. THEY WILL BACK ME UP!!!!!" When my husband tried to reach him in regards to what happened, COACH SAMMY confronted him with HIS FINGER AT HIS CHEST!!!!! Unbelievable!! My husband told that he would report him to his manager, and he arrogantly said various threatening words to my husband. Also said that this would not work, because they there back him up. We had no other option but CALLING THE COPS, who arrived at the gym quickly. In this very same day, ANOTHER COACH acted rudely to three adults, friends of ours, alleging that they were not excusing her to do her work. They were only interacting among themselves, and WERE excusing her anytime she passed by. We could not get her name, all we can tell she is kind of older if compared to the other coaches. But this cannot be compared to the aggressiveness committed against my son. As a consequence of this sad episode, my son cried once again when we got home, and he's been emotionally degraded after that. He is very sensitive due to his special condition and he had cried excessively for about a week. We are assiduous attenders to kid's gymnastics, indoor playgrounds and trampoline parks at Cypress, Katy, Houston and surrounding areas. WE NEVER HAD SUCH AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE LIKE THAT! We have hundreds of friends with kids in the area and in the social media, and we will not recommend them to go there. As a happy family, all we want is to go to fun place and have a pleasant afternoon in the weekends. I DEFINITELY DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE. IT CAN BE HARMFUL TO YOUR SON AS IT WAS TO MINE. read more

My wife booked this place for my daughter's 5th birthday party and I could not have been happier with Westwood! First, there's tons of space - which is important when you're dealing with rambunctious 5 year olds, their siblings, parents, and extended family. There's plenty of parking and while I think there were 2 or 3 other parties going on, I never felt cramped or otherwise. Second, everything was very well organized to stay on schedule. The party moved between various stations and activities. Each station started with the birthday girl kicking things off and/or a little something to make her feel special. Lastly, the staff is wonderful! My daughter's party had 2 coaches wrangling kids, directing traffic, answering questions, serving up the BYO pizza, cake and drinks. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! Read google reviews before enrolling. My experience here has been awful. In my daughter's class, there were too many toddlers for the instructor to handle. My kid felt lost and did not look forward to coming here. I've never seen so many kids cry for class that is suppose to be fun. Instead of engaging with each child, what I saw was a hostile atmosphere; it's loud and unorganized. I really tried to like this place. I think the only thing they got right was the jungle play area at the end of each session. After Harvey, we were not able to make it in. Just now I tried to call to get a refund for the month of September or schedule a makeup and Jennifer, the office manager, had the worst costumer service etiquette. She was quick to say "well you signed the papers in May of this year... even if you don't come in for class, we're still going to charge you. It's in our policy you signed". She was uninterested in helping me resolve this matter. I'm very disappointed in their professionalism. read more

My kids both take gymnastics here, and I'm extremely impressed with the organization, and skill levels of the coaches. We've held a birthday party here and it was a blast. When I enrolled my daughter into gymnastics and hip hop dance classes here, given the price they charge for overcrowded understaffed classes, I expected to be treated at least cordially by office staff. We have been taking our four year old daughter to gymnastics at Westwood since March 2016. She has learned a lot and made very good progress! The gym can get very crowded in the evenings and on some Saturdays so keep that in mind. She goes Saturday at 10:00 and it is crowded at that time. She's also been to makeup classes during the week at 10:00 and the gym is almost empty. If you're a stay at home mom, I would suggest scheduling classes for midmorning during the week. My daughter also attended a birthday party here that was very fun! They also have Princess Play dates and Parents Day Out which she enjoys. Lastly, scheduling makeups is very easy. Each time my daughter misses a class I can just hop online and reschedule in one click. read more

I have had a very positive experience with the new site of Westwood Gymnastics. I have had 2 girls in their pre-school programme and Kindergarten programme and I have never been disappointed with the staff. In fact my younger daughter has gained alot of confidence as a result of attending classes for almost a year. The emphasis appears to be on having fun as well as getting the right techniques. I have no experience of the teams or the competative side at this facility but couldn't recommend it highly enough. read more

They did absolutely everything they could in order for the kids to feel comfortable around them and be able to play freely. A really good and organized place. We had our daughter's birthday party at Westwood today and I can't tell you how much everything exceeded our expectations. We had Coach Isaiah, Coach Carrie, and Coach Jennifer assigned to us. They made the entire experience such a breeze. They worked their butts off the entire time and were fantastic, fun, and patient with all of the kids. It's a great place to have a party. It was worth every penny. I really would give the place 5 stars but I felt that 1 1/2 hours is a tad too short to host a party.
