The washer, dryer, and dishwasher are all quiet enough that it doesn't disturb normal conversation or watching TV. The heated garage is great in winter. I like very much being able to be out of the weather. Even in the summer, having a cool car to get into is nice. The food trucks that come to the parking lot are very convenient. I've walked downtown for dinner several times. Even just taking a walk for exercise is nice. Lots of residential sidewalks for walking.

I'm looking forward to a home environment in a community setting where people take care of the property as if they themselves own it. The Cary Rentals Apartments are clean and quiet. I've had my eye on them for 2 years and I've noticed how they are well maintained by the management AND the tenants. I've talked to people who live on the property and they take the kind of pride that owners usually reserve their property! I like that! I drove through and walked my dog in the area on weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, cold days, warm days, and nights. It's always quiet and clean. I LOVE that. People are friendly but not over bearing. That's always a plus. I can't wait to join this community. For now, I sit in my "luxury" apartment with my service dog listening to the people dropping weights in the exercise room next door and count down the days! I try hard not to call the property manager at Cary Rentals everyday and thank her for being the angel that helped me get into Cary "heaven". When Amy took me on the tour of the property, she was patient, knowledgeable, and best of all, down to earth. She's a real person! She smiles. She laughs. She listens. I sent an email complaining about the last minute notice on these things. I got what the law said and then any and everything my family was doing wrong. (teenagers with drivers licenses. You know how they drive) on top of it being a month a head in rent for the 2.5 years I lived there decided to not renew our lease And gave no explanation on to why. Probably because I don't work for the data center Would be my guess. Desiree is not a good manager. Eric is not a good repair guy. I've never had so many issues with washers and dryers. Never once got a refund or even a sorry. This is the first place I've ever rented that didn't give lease resigns a break on the rent. I complained once about lack of notice on repairs, lack of care from the lawn crew, who was shooting the lawnmower right at my brand new vehicle. cheapest 3 bedroom in Ozaukee for a reason. After that brief encounter, Desiree said there were no openings and we could only view a unit that was under construction (probably health/safety violation since it was an active construction zone). When standing in the construction zone, Desiree stood in one place and instructed "you can go look around". Not to mention there was a 12 year old kid with us that could have breathed in toxins or got hurt. We did not do a walk through the zone and immediately was disappointed in the whole situation. I sure hope there are future fines against Desiree's management ethics and health code violations.

Woodmere Townhomes is an older complex, so yes, there are a lot of maintenance challenges. Their maintenance personnel are especially responsive and very pleasant to work with. When the handle to our sliding glass patio doors broke off, the response was prompt. When our pipes froze (only for a day and a half) in 2018, the response was also immediate. It was a cold snap and a few apartments had frozen pipes for our washer and drier. Maintenance wasn't able to unfreeze the pipes, but they tried. A day later, water was moving again and we could do our laundry. Management and maintenance people followed up to ensure that everything was okay. What more could a person expect? The design of the individual apartments is very nice: our apartment looks much larger than it really is. The entry overlooks the living room: I thought it was pretty. We had sliding glass doors to a small porch. We had about 27 different species of birds and a herd of 9 deer that visited regularly. There are amenities I would like (such as walk-in closets, etc.), but you can't beat Woodmere Townhomes for value. My husband and I always felt safe in and around our apartment. The apartment complex tends to be quiet. People work during the day, come home, grab their mail, and go into their apartments. Very rarely do we have any interactions with our neighbors. With the dreadful coronavirus keeping more people home, the parking lot has become a social gathering place! It's pretty fun seeing our neighbors outside sitting in the lawn chairs and soaking up the sun. Yes, you could find comparable apartments for less, but not in Cedarburg. You could find apartment complexes with more amenities, but then they would cost more. Woodmere Townhomes is pretty sweet for the price.

Maintenance visited multiple times and confirmed the system was not operating properly, but the issue was not corrected. In May of this year, I was scalded while using the shower and have since required medical treatment, including multiple doctor visits and a referral to a wound specialist. Despite the seriousness of the issue, I have continued to experience poor communication and a lack of urgency from management. I have also had concerns about access to my apartment and have had to repeatedly request that all non-emergency access be coordinated in writing. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this property to document all maintenance concerns in writing, keep copies of every request, and follow up consistently. Based on my experience, serious safety and maintenance issues have not been handled with the level of care, urgency, or communication that I would expect from a professionally managed apartment community.

This complex is in a cute little town in a nice area, where we feel pretty safe. It's about 30 minutes from Milwaukee and West Bed, which isn't bad. The two women who work in the office are so sweet and helpful with any issues that we have had. There was a HORRIBLE neighbor below us who was honestly doing everything he could to make us miserable, including trying to get our sweet dog kicked out. After several of his complaints, I went to speak with one of the women about the issue and she was very understanding. People here are generally friendly, and there are a lot of nice dogs for ours to sniff outside. There's a nice little yard for the dog to use. The rent is quite reasonable and we even have a small storage unit for $10/month. We plan to renew our lease here. Some issues: The apartments are fine, if slightly outdated. The walls and floors are VERY thin. I can hear our neighbors closing cabinets and using the bathroom. There are issues with people cleaning up after their dogs, so walking through any grassy areas can be dangerous. There are few garages available for extra rent, but they are not connected to the buildings. Parking is usually plentiful, but unprotected and there have been some small break-ins to cars. There are also no balconies, or direct exits from individual apartments, which is unusual in my experience. Our last apartment had a washer/dryer in each unit, so paying for laundry and sharing with 7 other apartments has been a pain. Last, the only air conditioner is a small window unit in the living room. Usually this would not be an issue so far north, but this extremely hot summer has kept us in the living room next to the unit. it's uncomfortable and annoying, and we hope that other summers aren't quite as warm. These problems are huge or terrible, but should be taken into account.
