I'd give this place a '-1' if I could…read more I asked the front desk receptionist to verify my appointment details and she said I have to have a full eye exam before they will do a contact lens exam on me. I asked why she said because I'm due for an exam and when I said ok I will get my regular exam done when my health benefits have refreshed in the summer. She said that's not possible...and argued that the doc will also insist and then another employee came in saying the same thing and then another...who actually left her workstation AND her customer just to come over and say the same thing to me. I asked to speak to the Doc. He came out and with different wording said the same thing basically-it's going to cost me twice as much as what I was quoted on the phone. So I said ok I understand where you're coming from and I'm not interested at this time so I left. (I must have seemed like your typical KAREN at this point...having three other people try and explain the extra charges, but I'm standing my ground here! I would have let it slide, until I got a highly unprofessional comment from one of the girls up front, who said....loudly enough for me to hear it from the other store entrance, as I was leaving....THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I TOLD HER! She said.... Why say that so loudly....she clearly wanted me to hear that! So I called her out on it. I had enough. I said "excuse me! How rude! That is very unprofessional of you. If you have a comment about a customer or if you have an issue with a customer ..... you should keep it to yourself (if you're not discussing it with the customer that is) and be discreet about how you voice that concern. Go somewhere private and talk about it to your boss....Omg...how rude!" I stormed out of there....yes I blew up, yes I lost my cool! I was given wrong information right from the start....I could have waited until July when my benefits are full again, and I'll get my regular exam done then. What a waste of time. 1. I was quoted incorrect price info over the phone 2. It took 4 people to explain their policy to me. 3. They said I HAVE to have a full eye exam, it's in their "by-law". I did ask for more info about this, but they could not provide it. I felt like I was being forced to do it before I was prepared to do so. 4. As I was leaving, one of the employees felt I needed to know that she told me all that already......loud enough so the whole store could hear... This is why I blew up on her. Poor customer Service and very disrespectful behaviour are the main reasons why I will never re patronize this business again.
