There's a lot of seating throughout and you should be able to find a quiet spot. They have the newer self checkout kiosks now so you don't have to chit chat if that's not your thing. The librarians do seem friendly though. The cafe isn't open past 6 on any day but it seems to have sandwiches, soups and baked goods; there are a few tables to sit as well. Parking lot is large and shared with the municipal building. An easy walk into town for food and shopping.

I literally asked THE STAFF to lower their voices as it echos throughout the QUIET ROOM multiple time! and instead of doing so, one of the desk workers who previously asked me to EXIT THE QUIET ROOM so that an employee can eat their damn lunch while I was STUDYING gave me an attitude for POLITELY asking their asses to lower their voices as we are in a library. This bozo then asks me to EXIT the Quiet Room AGAIN because she and her colleagues are UNABLE TO USE LIBRARY APPROPRIATE VOICES! I wish I could upload a recording of how loud and OBNOXIOUS they are so that those of you who see this could understand how insanely loud these Public Library working HAGS are! So again, if you actually need a quiet space to get some legitimate reading or studying done DO NOT COME TO TENAFLY PUBLIC LIBRARY! especially if you are a person of color because I am absolutely positive that if I was Caucasian that the response to me respectfully asking them to lower their voices so that I may study for an exam IN PEACE would have been received very differently. The current location was opened in 1983. The library is on two floors and I a few hours at a desk upstairs where it was quiet and peaceful. Power outlets for charging, free wifi for surfing and working, and no interruptions other than a couple of kids who got shushed by the librarian. A more than pleasant time. Non-residents can use the library and the wifi. You only need to be a resident if you're wanting to borrow materials from the library. And they have more than books! She almosy hit me and I yelled at her, are you serious? At that point she revered back with the siren lights on to look for the person that yelled at her. Also, I left a pair of headphones in my work area and 3 days later go. I called public saftey and spoke to J Rodriguez and he laughed when I said I should be able to leace things at work and not expect others to take it. He laughed at me and I told him he was unprofessional and rude. He tried to gaslight me into thinking he didn't. He even verified with someone it the office.

We were pleasantly surprised to see a large audience gather that day at a library. Also, the room where the performance took place was really nice and the sound was good there - impressive for a library. I looked at their website a few days prior to the performance and saw that there's a lot of great programming at PPL. Paramus has a really nice public library - what a great resource for the community!
