The building in Ambler is the nicest of all funeral homes in the area and meticulously maintained inside and out. The viewing ran off perfectly. Every Detail for the church was handled and I did noting but talk to Monsignor for a few minutes. The Cemetery procession was again professional At the end Bill surprised me when he said he notified the luncheon restaurant we would be arriving soon. How much the did for me that was not expected. If it was not for the reason I will…read moreexplain I would have no reason to not give them 5 stars but I was appalled when I learned of this: Unfortunately, when people were arriving to pay their respects there was a very unwelcomed family member whose actions caused a small argument and someone accidentally bumped into a table resulting in a small vase with a little bit of water and a couple flowers to fall and break. The small puddle of water would have been an easy clean up. The only son of the deceased went to go take care of it but someone working for this group told them they had it covered. I did actually witness this part. I forget how the conversation came up but a couple months ago the son of the deceased told me he was sent a $75 clean-up fee for that. That is a classless move. Did you tell him you had it covered to score an extra $75 or do you think $75 is what you should charge someone to clean up a puddle of water after you mislead them with a quick casual rest assured "I got it." Either way that was a classless move and showed a sincere lack of respect. I am sure you can figure out who was billed for this and give them their money back. Shame!

Craft-Givnish treated us like family. They knew how to speak to my grieving mother and how to accommodate her needs as Buddhists without hesitation. Moreover, Craft-Givnish tastefully made up my father for an open casket and had a very quick turnaround when it came to pamphlets, posters, and videos. My father's love of golf was even memorialized as a golf scoring card. These personal touches mattered. We didn't have to think about anything funeral-wise (timing, coordinating flowers, traffic, services, etc.) and was allowed to focus on the what mattered most: my father's life. Craft-Givnish created a truly wonderful celebration, which allowed my mother and my family to grieve peacefully.

To make maters more complicated, I did not live near my mother. I contacted another service first. They were very nice, but were unfamiliar with the area and the hospital that my mother was at. They needed me to contact the morgue at the hospital and make arrangements for them to transfer her. At the time, I was not at my best. The last thing I needed was complicated administrative tasks. I did a search for a local funeral home with good reviews. This led me to Dunn-Givnish Funeral Home. They answered their phone immediately, they were very pleasant and professional. They took care of everything after that one simple phone call. That was what I needed. My experience with Jason and Susan was absolutely outstanding. They made the funerary arrangements a very positive experience for me and my wife. I have to say, it has been the easiest part of everything I have had to do since my mother passed. They took the time to understand my needs and wishes. They were helpful and provided realistic and useful options, never pressuring or trying to upsell. He is a kind considerate and thoughtful individual. This extends into his work. Both of my parents funerals were held at Steve Shelly's Funeral home. Each event was sad and stressful but during it all Steve and his staff were nothing but helpful , and professional. All the details were carried out with the utmost of respect and courtesy. I asked for a quote and they prepared one straight away and helped guide me on the choices. I then went in for a prepay burial and Matt was not in the office on the weekend but came out to meet me and we finalized the pre-pay. Anne helped coordinate with the Church, the folks at Washington Crossing Vet Cemetary, the Marine Honor Guard and provided me a contact for a bag piper. The viewing and mass were done on the same day and in the Church and then we drove over to Washington Crossing. The team at the funeral were helpful in setting up items, directing guests and had all the items for me in a bag to take home - funeral thank you cards, the register, the pictures I had and the death certificates. I am not local to PA and Anne kept me up to date on the progress, the times and provided the itineray via email and phone calls. She was a rock star.

We then had to wait for the second room to be available/cleaned and parking was a nightmare. They do have a parking lot, but when you have two funerals booked around the same time, it fills up very quickly.
