That visit was unsatisfactory. She seemed more focused on checking boxes than actually listening to my problem. My experience was very disappointing. My medications were not renewed as expected, and when I followed up a week later through the UPMC app, I received no response at first. After sending another message, only one of my medications was eventually sent to the pharmacy. Even worse, both of my messages later appeared in the UPMC app as clinical visits, which raises serious billing concerns. If you are trying to avoid unnecessary confusion or possible double billing, I would be cautious. I am now changing my primary care provider.

The location is off several bus lines and they have parking available, they will validate your parking if you go to an office. The care I received was excellent and I can appreciate that the Endocrinologist wants me to see a PCP vs him as I am not in need of the specialized care. The front desk scheduled my first appointment for a day when I could not have a test done. The doctor and physician's assistant did not seem to closely read my form, and I had to keep reminding them of what needed to be filled out. I ended up going out of network and paying out of my own pocket to get the remaining tests completed. I will not return to this doctor again.

This also is the first UPMC practice that I visited where I felt like I was a valued patient--the appointment was on-time, the staff was polite and attentive, and the facilities were very clean. The nurses were very kind and made sure to get complete information. I liked them a lot. One of the nurses--Marianne--immediately noticed that I needed a vaccination booster. Apparently, I'd needed it for years and no other medical professional has noticed this. Kudos. Dr. Reasbeck is a gem. Very thorough and funny and professional. He thoughtfully answered my questions and I didn't feel rushed. They really don't make 'em like this anymore. Come a bit early for your appointment. Since this is in the Heinz building, you have to sign in with security and get a visitor's badge to swipe through to the elevators. It only took a couple minutes, but I went after "rush hour." I imagine there would be a longer line if you had an early or late appointment.

Dr. Taylor may be the best family practice doctor that I've ever been to. She's interested in your…read morehealth and genuinely takes the time to listen and diagnose. She's personable and friendly. She's thorough, and you really feel like she's ruling things out as she asks you questions. You really can't ask for more from a GP. Facility is always clean, and the wait is typically minimal. The longest that I think I've waited is 15 minutes in the lobby. Once you're a patient, appointments are fairly easy to secure. Most times I can get in same-day. Note that Dr. Taylor doesn't work 5 days/week (I believe she is off on Thursday, but there is another doctor in the practice).
