Apple abandons its machines and customers after five years, he explained, and-- I thought of auto companies that sell old parts to specialty shops so cars and customers won't be abandoned on the road, a caring that has helped keep my '68 Ford Falcon running so I could cart my computer to Spencer's IT service. But in computer terms, Apple hypes five years in centennials, meaning their well-paid execs make no effort to set up an "Old Parts Store" for people whose funds are limited, unable to buy newer models, and-- Heck, Apple isn't the only company that doesn't care about people thriving on Social Security. Super fast quote, really helpful service! I got a quote just by messaging online (didn't even have to go in store) for just $25. My computer monitor was damaged during moving, and the moving company wanted me to get a price quote stating the cause of the damage. They would only reimburse me if the damage was caused by "mishandling", and not "normal vibration and handling". I sent a request to a bunch of repair shops over Yelp on a Sunday morning, and I got a response from Spencer within just a couple minutes. I sent some photos, and he was able to determine that the monitor had definitely been hit pretty hard on the side. He whipped up a quote invoice and email it to me in the next 20 minutes. I asked him to include some extra info on it (requested by the moving company), and he quickly updated it for me.
