There's never really a queuing problem, as it is such a small post office and therefore does not ever get very busy. The post office offers a small selection of packaging products on sale as well as cards and some stationary products. They sell stamps and weigh and price packages. There is also a post box located on the front of the shop. The shop also sells newspaper and a few other nick nacks. The only problem is the staff can be quite pushy and try to make you buy the various insurances and credit cards which they have on offer.

This is a little village post office, right in the heart of Stainton village in Middlesbrough. It's…read moreright opposite the church, and next door to the hair-dressers and village shop. The post office itself has a shop, selling essentials like bread and milk, and tinned foods and a few frozen meals etc. They also have a fresh food counter where you can buy quiche, or pies, or sandwiches, which they will make up for you while you wait. The shop also sells stationery, and random things like bird food! The post office part is set at the back of the shop and has just two counter positions. Sometimes you do encounter queues but it's worth the wait as the staff are fantastic, especially the Post Master, Alan. They are all really good, friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to help the customers. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The only downside is that, being just a sub post office, you can't renew your Road Tax here, but you can do just about everything else.

There's never really a queuing problem, even at busy times as there's enough staff to keep the queues flowing nicely. There's a small selection of stationery and packaging products as well as a few gifts and books available to purchase and a stamp machine so you don't need to queue if you only require 1st or 2nd class stamps. There's 2 entrances to the post office, one of which is designed for wheel chair users.

It is only quite a small building but it oozes charm. It sells magazines and papers, alternatively you could have them delivered to your door. They sell sweets from jars and lots of delightful locally produced items such as cakes, jams, chutneys. They also have some really tasty meats which they carve off the bone for you, whether you want a lot or just one slice for a sandwich, nothing is too much trouble. The post office part itself is just one counter but you can do most things that you need to do urgently, pay your bills and post your letters. Really welcoming.
