Besides cats, this place also has some really cool clothes -- all of them old, and all of them carefully curated and thoughtfully chosen. I can tell when a vintage clothing store has done its due diligence when I flip through the racks and I want to buy more than a few things. I was THIS close to buying a Western pearl snap shirt, but really: how many pearl snap shirts does a girl need? Regretfully, I put the shirt back on the rack. Hopefully, some other savvy person snapped it up. The Odd Shop has a lot of clothing, but it has just as much vintage toys, records, ephemera and trinkets for sale. Walking into the store is like walking into your (or probably my) childhood, because there are so many things from the 1980s and 90s for sale. So many Smurfs dolls! Mickey Mouse roller skates! I am an avid thrifter and I am sad to say that I was not impressed. Most of the clothing was older, outdated styles and the prices were quite high. Much of the clothing also appeared very-well worn, especially for the prices. The t-shirts were well-worn, stretched, or stained and priced at 9-10 dollars each!! We were interested in children's clothing for our new grandchild but quickly gave up on that idea as one would have needed hours to find appropriate sizes since the clothing was thrown on to tables haphazardly. This is not a thrift store that I would return to, but others may like the offerings. I read recently that the store may be closing, so if you are interested in checking it out, I would go sooner rather than later.

You won't need to sort through tons of resin dragon salt and pepper shaker holders to get to the good stuff. The folks that run Antiques Attic are sweet and helpful. They will remind you that there is more upstairs as well. We often make a point to stop in after a meal at Toast or shopping at the farmer's market to have a look to see if there's one more thing we can't live without.
