Chucks is pretty good for where it's at, but if you want to be good, be good, and work at it. Now they are just open from Thursday through Sunday. But if you were Really good, you could have it packed every day of the week and open for lunch and stay busy until you sell out in the late afternoon!! That way you wouldn't burn yourself out trying to have enough for the lunch crowd and waiting through a slack period in between lunch and dinner. It's a nice Jack in the Box, but I've noticed it's not very busy at anytime I've been by here. There were a couple that i frequented in Bacliff and Texas City. They were located on corners that had a lot of traffic and usually always had two or three cars in the drive through at anytime. The people here at the Silsbee location are friendly enough and seem to care about their jobs which is something you don't see a while lot of now days. I ordered the regular tacos which I haven't had in quite awhile. They haven't changed much other than costing a little more, but what don't in the last two years. The young lady that was the cook asked if I would pull around and park on the other side which I didn't mind, but didn't know why as there were no other cars in the line. After a few minutes she brought my order out and explained that she wanted to cut up some fresh lettuce to go on my tacos!! I think that was very caring of her and showed she had the initiative to take care of her job! I can go with that!!!

I sat in the drive-thru for 15 minutes just to place my order, with a car full of kids getting restless in the back, and then had to wait another 10-15 minutes to actually get the food. While waiting to order, I watched two cars give up and drive off. This isn't just a one-time problem -- it's been happening for 2-3 weeks now. There is nothing "fast" about this fast food place anymore, and it's beyond frustrating, especially when you've got hungry kids stuck in the car. Something needs to change immediately.
