The care givers provided excellent care as my father went through the end of his life. The care givers worked with hospice and carefully followed the health plan including becoming nurse delegated. 7 sisters provided care givers who met my specifications, including only have people who followed COVID 19 protocols. When my father was asleep, the care givers often cleaned. They let me know when we needed supplies. But what really impressed me was the level of personal care they gave. They took care of his personal hygiene. They talked with him and many developed a connection that helped when my father became disoriented. What you want as someone responsible for a loved one are people you can trust that allow you to continue to take care of your business and what you need to do to take care of your loved one. 7 Sisters made that happen for me.

There are resident dogs, cats, birds, fish and even some young children that come to work with a parent. This helps keep the atmosphere of being there full of life. They have fun, interesting activities and interactions that make each day for our loved ones better. They have a little store with all kinds of items (scarfs, blankets, jewelry, fun decorating items, some toiletries, etc.) that are free for residents to take and keep. They have a Bistro area inside the main entry that has snacks, juice, water and coffee available all day. They also use this area for residents to gather for exercise, crafting, games, musical entertainment, theme party days, discussions and a care giver reads the local newspaper daily. The entire staff are top notch. Compassionate, attentive, and ready to problem solve at any given moment. The care givers constantly work on keeping up with the personal hygiene of residents. There are so many call buttons throughout the facilities for residents and family to push for assistance. One or more care givers usually respond within a few minutes of activation. The entire facility is a 100 times more clean than the other 3 assisted living places we tried before Silverado (not even close).There hasn't been one time that I have been to visit family (twice a week) when there wasn't a cleaning crew making the rounds. After nearly three years in three…read moreseparate residential situations and pretty horrible conditions, we nine adult kids were both relieved and gratified that they were finally in a caring and supportive environment that they had deserved all along. We were first attracted by the facility itself which is, even on a dark day, full of light, clean, and welcoming. There is a beautifully landscaped open courtyard and a variety of gathering spaces for residents and their families. The food is fresh and appealing; the bedrooms are roomy. But the real attraction is the staff. Silverado has what might be described as a deliberate "code of conduct" for its residents and staff. This means every resident is treated with gentle kindness and respect, even during challenging times. The staff seem to know everyone by name, their distinctive personalities and life experiences. They are constantly working to get everyone out of their rooms and engaged in an amazing panoply of experiences, which might include hearing the news of the day, listening to a live local band, arranging flowers, making fresh fruit skewers, engaging in light exercises and stretching, getting to know the resident cats and dogs, going to a sock hop, and celebrating holidays and special occasions. The residents are having fun, still enjoying life. The staff believes, like we do, that being an older person with memory problems doesn't mean that they shouldn't have a high quality of life or be diminished as human beings. Our parents have blossomed in this environment. When our mom was nearing the end of her life, they were solicitous towards her, making sure she was comfortable and felt loved, because she was. They supported us, her family, every step of the way, a rare positive gift during a difficult experience. Our dad is still going strong and thriving in the care of his own family and the one at Silverado. We are eternally grateful that both of our parents found their spot at last.

The residents were the most uplifted in Spirit that I've ever seen at a convalescent, rehab, or nursing center. All the care staff (save one) I felt to be thoughtful, caring, respectful, and professional. They have activities for the residents that keep them engaged and lively, there's things going on, there's LIFE going on. Highland is clean, respectful, peaceful and I recommend this skilled nursing center without hesitate as often as I have the opportunity whether private pay, Medicare or Medicaid. So they say they value feedback, 8 yrs to change their system yet still happening. a 2 week wait list and never showed up, closest date they had was the day after persons death. Several phone calls logged with no recommendations saying to go to another hospice My loved one suffered needlessly and I still have nightmares CALL OTHER HOSPICE PLACES especially if you are in snohomish county so they can be closer

I have had a few elderly neighbors stay here over the years. One of them for just a short stay and…read morethe others for longer stays or had moved in there. Each time I went to visit I found their accommodations to be professional, friendly and the care specialized to each resident, and you can tell the people are truly invested in the care of the residents. I was also invited to stay for lunch a few times. It was good, but fairly average as long-term and skilled nursing care facilities go. They have a dedicated room for physical therapy and will be honest with their assessments for future and appropriate placement in one of their specialized wings. I observed one neighbor in the PT room and the staff was very friendly, yet serious about the help they were providing. Sadly, one of my neighbors passed away there and she had said if she had to end up somewhere other than her home, it would be at Mt. Baker Care Center.

Eden's PTs made the transition to formal physical therapy easy and as it was at my home, so convenient, especially as being in a car is very difficult post surgery. They laugh constantly while Mike helps my dad rebuild strength and confidence. Jordan, his occupational therapist, shows endless patience, encouragement, and compassion as my dad adjusts to major life changes. The nursing staff, especially Angela, Lisa (she has such a caring heart), Candy, Max, and Wyatt, go above and beyond teaching our family how to support his care. Cheryl, Emily, and Katie do a fantastic job coordinating WTA transportation and advocating for my dad's needs. Dr. Bosma is professional, caring, and truly exceptional. And all the social workers helped with all the paperwork and setting her up for being home and having helpers come in. I think they went above and beyond and helping out my mom. I would highly recommend this place for a short visit or possibly long-term care.
