I began my career in the insurance industry in 2010. In 2014, I started my own insurance company. I have never, nor will I ever work for a single insurance company. I'm an independent Insurance broker, which means I write for many different companies, allowing me to find the best policy at the best price for my customers.
Meet the Business Owner: Ted W.
In 2010, Ted Whelan got his insurance license. He immediately became an independent agent because he believed in doing the right thing for his customers; offering them as many options as possible from multiple carriers, not pushing any on company's product. In 2014, he opened his own company, the Whelan Insurance Group. Nothing about his philosophy changed. He started the company because so many people encouraged him to do so because they said that he was the value that they were referring people to, not the products.
