It's located in an old wine cellar (the oldest in London) and dimly lit by candles. If you are looking for a spot that matches the dark and moody London aesthetic and offers plenty of history, this place is perfect for you. I was very surprised by the quick wait time. We travelled in August which is their busiest time of year and the most we had to wait for a table was maybe 10 minutes. This place seems to be a true hidden gem and more popular among locals than tourists. The cheese boards are delicious and just as unique as the place itself. They have plenty of flavors to choose from and have several different options depending on your budget. We went with the two cheese board and everything included paired perfectly with the wine. The staff was great at giving us recommendations and even let us sample several flavors before committing. We loved this place so much we decided to come back our last day for round two. If you are travelling to London, I highly recommend adding this wine bar to your list of places to eat or drink in the city.

Really cool atmosphere with a low cave ceiling, comprehensive wine list and lots of cheese, charcuterie and some other British favorites. We began with wine, rose bubbles and a glass of champagne- unfortunately my champagne was room temperature which is a per peeve of mine but the rose bubbles were served ice cold in a cold glass?! My husband did enjoy his wine! We were asked about food but they never came back so we decided to enjoy our drinks and the unique atmosphere before heading out

Every time I have the £35 tasting menu, which is pure, adventurous, delight. The truly special thing about this restaurant (apart from the homegrown herbs, excellent service, and mellow ambiance) is that the menu changes every few weeks, leaping from one culinary wonder to the next. The tasting menu comprises 5 courses (sometimes with a couple more if the chef is feeling experimental). I have had the pleasure of enjoying: British fusion (including mushroom cerviche, a roasted garlic cream and basil soup, pork cheeks with peanut brittle, and a berry-creme filled choux pastry) Mediterranean (including roasted and pickled beet with a fluffy cloud of goats cheese, tender marinated pork belly, butter-soft scallops with pear, and a lime parfait with basil jelly) Chilean (including the most unbelievable slow-cooked beef lashed with salsa, perfectly bbq'd chicken with crushed corn, and my all-time-favourite dessert burnt marshmallow meringue with wine caramel, jelly and candied walnuts) It's exceptional value for a really filling, delectable, fun meal. If you don't live near East Dulwich, it's worth venturing SE to get some seriously good grub. The staff are friendly, chatty (but not obtrusive), and very knowledgeable. Oh, and the cocktails are excellent.

Perilla Dining were on the food and boy were they on it. It was a tasting menu of 6 courses for an incredible £35. All 6 were amazing but the lamb was perfect. Fall off the bone tender & served with chicory and lettuce. The blood orange custard with olive oil for dessert looked stunning and tasted delicious. I'm such a fan. I'm hoping that Platform One pick winners every time as the Perilla dining experience was unbelievably good.

It's a bit off the beaten path, kinda like in Harlem+Brooklyn if it was in NYC. If in the states it would be highly sought after. I fell in love when i discovered their IG page. I've been following for few years now and just saw how beautiful the food was. I had to come here for my London trip. I expected it to be in some posh neighborhood and was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't and instead in a neighborhood with just a bit grit and cool vibe. It's small and quaint and the food is so delicious and service was very attentive and friendly. One must get the Comte Fried Potatoes. We didn't at first but we looked to our left, to our right, and table in front and everyone was ordering this dish so we did too and it didn't disappoint. It's served with a saffron aioli that is very savory. I loved this gem of place. I plan to come here every time I am near London.

I arrived towards the end of dinner service on a Saturday and was seated at the small counter overlooking the kitchen. It was certainly a treat to be able to see the dishes being prepared, and made me feel a little like I was part of the fun, buzzy team. I had a few small plates, including the comte fries, some delish roasted carrots, and the tortellini. The chef's menu is a great way to explore the menu, and a great value as well. Make sure you check out the wine list, a lot of fun BTG options. Will certainly recommend this spot to folks visiting London and staying in Peckham!
