Due to a big rain earlier, we could not take the trip we had signed up for, but he worked with us and got us out on a different nearby river. My son and I got what amounted to a private tour on the water. He's a knowledgeable guy and very nice. Little Rock is a very beautiful area and Sam took us pretty deep into it. We learned a lot of the history and the natural features of the area, got in a pretty good workout, and had a great time. Sam also does bike tours and will tour the Arkansas River in the downtown area on kayaks and can also go out on a barge. We would do everything with him if time permitted but we were only there for a day. Time permitting, we will be back there one day and I'm hoping sooner rather than later. The bike I rented was the most basic one, but very comfortable and was a smooth ride. Very happy they provide a helmet. I rented in December and the weather was just right. I just sweated a bit pedaling through the wind to get to the Big Dam Bridge! I also got to see the beautiful fall foliage. Again, highly recommend biking to see some of Little Rock's awesome sites and get a taste of nature.

We spent one day canoeing on the river and another day hiking to Sunrise Bluff and the old ghost town of Pinnacle Springs. Our guide John knows the creek and woodlands like the back of his hand -- lots of great history, geology and biology. He was a great help in assisting us both on land and on the water especially with some of the older people in our group. We will be back.

The partners, John and Matt, were so friendly and able to recommend floating/excursion ideas for my day. Their shuttle service was perfect and they arrived when they said they would. The equipment was top notch and most importantly affordable. Seeing the sheer amount of white water rapids, large boulders, and deep pools filled with fish definitely are going to lure me back here. If only I had brought my fishing pole with me... The campsites were clean and dispersed which made me able to connect with the woods teeming with bird songs and wildlife. I can't wait to return to float, camp, and to catch lots of smallmouth! Thank you again for the wonderful time! You truly helped me have a legendary day!

LOVE Riverview Cabins & Canoes!…read more Hubby & I do a weekend get away to the Arkansas mountains at least once a year & this last time we decided to stay here! We have stayed many places & we usually stay at Petit Jean but we decided to check out Riverview Cabins & Canoes & it turned out to be the best trip to the Arkansas mountains we have ever had. We rented the small cabin for 2 with the hot tub. It was so adorable! The bed was super comfy & the hot tub was amazballs. It was perfect for 2, very romantic & had everything we needed. The first night it rained & we hung out & made veal meatballs. So yummy! We loved the little gas stove & the giant shower. There was also a cute little fireplace & bear rug! So adorable. The hiking in the woods was cool, the canoeing & river was beautiful & the riding stables were well kept. The whole property was very nice. All the Cabins were picture perfect. There are a couple different canoeing trips you can take & you can hike & ride the trails. There is a little town near by you can go have lunch too, we checked that out, it was very cool with some very cool old buildings & a couple fun lunch spots. It is out in BFE, Walmart, grocery stores & liquor stores are like an hours drive away so bring everything you need b4 you get there. The lady that works the check in was very sweet & very kind to us. The clocks sprang forward (daylight saving time) & we overslept the last day bc our bed was that comfy! I called her & she was very cool about it & gave us an extra hour to check out. That was almost 3 months ago & we are still talking about what a great time we had there :)) We can't wait to go back!
