Well, you truly cannot get better than the Hannahs. When I found Megan and Jacob's portfolio online, I immediately fell in love with their work. They capture the moment in such a striking, beautiful way; I felt like I had gone to the weddings they pictured on their website! And then I had a call with Megan and realized what wonderful people they are. We knew they were the folks to trust with our wedding day. I was nervous that my excitement would be overwhelming, and I wouldn't be able to remember all of the specific details of our wedding day. That worry melted away because each time something special happened, my brain would think "OH! I can't begin to tell you how much I love these guys…read more When I started out my search for a wedding photographer, I knew I wanted two things: somebody who is very technical and has a photojournalistic approach. The "here's an out of focus underexposed picture, but I'll slap a filter on it to make it look cute" crowd was completely out of the question, as was the "my portfolio is full of brides with cut off heads and table settings that look nice on Style Me Pretty" bunch, so I had the hardest time - the minute I saw a technical flaw covered up with a preset or action that person was out. And then I found Hannah Weddings. Jacob is beyond skilled. I have no idea how he exposes some of his shots, or catches those emotions that bring tears to my eyes even when I don't know the couple, but that is why I am me and he is a brilliant wedding photographer. Megan does beautiful detail shots, takes video and handles all the communication. Together they are a stellar team, and some of the nicest and most professional people you will ever meet. I honestly think they don't fully realize just how good they are... We worked with them at our wedding, and they made me (a person who hates being in front of the camera) so comfortable I could care less when they were in the bathroom with me while I was in a short robe putting on makeup - a thought that would normally make me freeze inside. They handled the formal portraits very quickly and efficiently, had awesome ideas on couples portraits, and caught incredible emotional moments that we will cherish forever. Only three (3!!!) days after our wedding, we had a preview gallery ready. See why it makes a difference when you know the technical side? You don't need to spend days post processing and fixing errors, since it's all already exposed and composed beautifully. I honestly can't recommend these guys enough. House fit 16 people comfortably, Jesse was very responsive and treated us wonderfully, beds were clean, bathrooms spotless, and amenities such as hot tub and pool table in working order. Being only 5 minutes from Killington Ski area it really can't be beat. Highly recommend visiting the Shred Shed on your next trip to Killington.

Between the four of us, we had the Filet Mignon, Iberico pork tenderloin, day boat scallops, and the lemongrass-infused striped bass. Every single dish was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. It's rare that everyone at the table loves what they ordered, but that was definitely the case. Chef Dylan Taylor's new menu is fantastic, and it really shows. Everything felt fresh, creative, and thoughtfully prepared without being overdone. The dining room is elegant but still feels warm and comfortable. Dinner started with an anchovy amuse-bouche that had a nice savory taste. They even offered a free glass of champagne for my birthday. The grilled octopus was nice and light, and the cauliflower was okay with the dish. It was a smaller potion, but left room for the remaining courses. The tagliatelle was cooked well and the tomatoes and mushrooms added nicely to the dish. This was a nice sized portion, and definitely filling. The chocolate raspberry tart was more on the chocolatey side. Maybe my least favorite course from those I had, but nonetheless still good. The check came with petit four which was a nice touch. My waiter, Sergiu, was delightful and made me feel welcome the entire time. I really enjoyed my dinner here and would look to return.

Also definitely hike Snake Mountain very close by - it's a short drive, a manageable hike and a rewarding view. If you're looking for a few days away from NYC area or a Vermont experience, I wouldn't go anywhere else. We can't wait to go back and have already recommended a stay here to our friends.
