Not even a hello. Items are beautiful, service is poor. Salespeople ignored me until I picked out some items. Although there were 2 salespeople, I was not acknowledged until I had selected an armful of items and then was offered a fitting room. Never was offered help afterwards. Would have liked to try on other options but was made to feel like a bother. Only one other customer at the time. Conversely, in shoe store, I had a very friendly, welcoming experience. Christine was very helpful, attentive even though there was another customer and she was only salesperson. She was very knowledgeable, offered various suggestions. I made a shoe purchase but did not make a in-store clothing purchase. Fortunately found clothing designers' web pages online and ordered directly from designers.

The prices were very high for the worn out stuff. There were a few things that look nice but not my style I was looking for sweatpants and T-shirts with brand names. They were all overpriced. Sub-par customer service. I visited the store and selected an item that was sitting on top of a…read moredust bag. The next day I returned and purchased that same item. When I completed the purchase, the staff refused to provide the dust bag that had been under the item the day before. Their explanation was that the dust bag now had a different item ticket placed inside it. This response made little sense. The dust bag originally matched the item my wife purchased and had been displayed with it. Instead of resolving the issue in a reasonable way, the staff focused only on the technicality of the ticket inside the bag and declined to provide a dust bag which goes to the item purchased. An offer was also made of the same brand dust bag but come to find out they did not have another. So the offer could not stand. For a store that sells luxury products intended to be kept and protected in dust bags, refusing to provide one over something so minor reflects poor customer service and a lack of flexibility. A simple solution would have been to provide the dust bag which matches the brand. The experience left me feeling that the focus was on rigid internal process rather than basic customer care. Would not recommend or return. Way better finds in LA.

An older woman who was not the owner was working and was rude and curt to everyone in my party including my husband who was more than happy to drop alot of money in there for me. I am older and she followed me around like I was a shoplifter. She accused one of the gals I was with of changing a price tag, then got made at me because I put my purchases on the counter to check out. I seriously would have left but was so embarrassed I did not want to ruin the day and the gals I were with were blown away at her rudeness. She also turned to my husband and son as he was shopping with me and said "there is a book store across the street!" as if she did not want them in the store. I ended up buying all my over priced purchases anyhow and left. I seriously almost put everything back and walked out but like I said did not want to ruin the day. Avoid this place at all cost. It is over priced for second hand clothing even in Carpenteria. Go to American Cancer Discovery stores or Assistance League stores instead where you are treated with respect. Why the owner allows such a rude lady to work for her is beyond my understanding. I should have listened to the other reviews that said the same things.
