Nice place and like that they have security. We had friends from out of town and really enjoyed themselves

Multiple levels so pick your crowd. There was a decent crowd on the bottom floor where the pool tables and mechanical bull were.

The bartenders are always so friendly. Drinks are reasonable. Music is more of oldies wish they would update it but it's overall great

The security cleaned it up right then and the super sweet bartender made me a new drink on the house.

So it is no secret that I like a dive bar. After our first night in Huntsville we were on the hunt…read morefor a dive place that preferably had karaoke. Moody Monday's popped up and we decided to go over. That is, after the shuttle guy and the guys at the hotel told us we should "go to Humphrey's" instead. We already went there and now we wanted a dive. So we pulled up and he said "Do you want to look in the door first and decide?" Anytime I hear that (it happens more often than you think...) I just know it is going to be the jam. So I look in and there's about 5-7 people in there just sitting around chilling. Yep, we are in. The bartender met us near the door to ask what would we like to drink. Very welcoming! So we posted up at the bar and had some drinks. The people there were all over the board in age. Also on the door it says bikers welcome although none were really there that night. We chatted up our bartender and the others that were sitting nearby. Friendly folks, some definite characters, but isn't that what makes a dive bar the best? In my opinion, it is. So the main thing is that at 8pm the karaoke started up. Hell yes. After 8 more people started showing up to have some drinks and sing. The karaoke guy was great - friendly and came to chat with us quite a bit. That could have been the tip I gave him but I thought perhaps it was because we were so nice! There's no book, you just go ask if he has it. He will put you in the rotation and just come ask you what you are going to sing next. Despite the fact that they didn't have Uptown Funk, they had all the others I wanted to sing. And I even sang Shake It Off with the guy....and got the mic cord wrapped around my foot and busted it coming off the stage. HA! Shake it off indeed. INDEED. According to the FB page they have special events (like $5 steak dinner night! Mardi Gras party!) and there's karaoke certain nights of the week. So you will definitely have something to do here...even if it is just drink and shoot the shit with the regulars. We had a super fun time there and I HIGHLY recommend it if you like a dive as much as I do!!

I attempted to clean it immediately and informed the bartender. Asked bartender if they'd replace the drink. They gave me another but still charged me for the spilled drink and the replacement. If they were going to charge for the replacement drink I should have at least been informed. Drinks weren't as cheap as I expected with 2 lemon drop shots and peaches and cream coming out to $28. Also I don't really like indoor smoking.

We went to this divey Irish pub in a commercial strip center for one thing and one thing only: an…read moreauthentic Irish spice bag like they serve in pubs all across Ireland (but which you can rarely find in an Irish pub in the US). The pub itself looks like one you'd find in some forgotten little village in rural Ireland -- a place that time left behind from the 60s or 70s. It reeked of cigarette smoke (which is still allowed in bars in Alabama apparently). The bartender/owner was very nice and seemed genuinely happy to have customers on a slow Sunday afternoon. He was helpful in recommending some beers (they have a good selection on draft -- most from regional breweries). We ordered the Irish spice bags of course and enjoyed our beers while we waited. The fried chicken pieces and French fries came in the bag, well seasoned. On the side were the fried green peppers and fried onions and the golden curry. We added the peppers, onions and curry to the bags, shook them up and tore them open to dig into this hearty Irish treat. The chicken pieces were tender and nicely breaded (the breading did not fall off). They were quite tasty on their own. The fries were crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. The peppers and onions were fried to light brown and had just the right amount of softness. The golden curry was only mildly spicy with a great curry flavor. All mixed together, it was everything we hoped it would be. Well worth the trip to a smoky dive bar in a strip mall (we didn't even notice the smoky smell once the food came). If you've never had a spice bag, this place does them well. Food and service 5. Atmosphere 3. That accounts for the 4 rating.
