This restaurant opened recently and has been pretty much slammed every time we drove by. So, we went for an early supper, so we beat the crowd. Lucky for us they have Happy Hour 3-6pm M-F. We sat at the bar. Cindy was very nice and provided prompt service. There are several TV's tuned to sports channels and we had some friendly conversation with others at the bar. Their menu was full of options. So there's something for everyone. My wife got the Nachos appetizer and had it topped with grilled chicken. I got the Chicken Parmesan. The beer was cold and the food was good. The chicken parm did not have any marinara on it. I didn't think about it until I was almost done, so I don't know if that's the way they serve it or they messed up. The crowd began to arrive as we were leaving. I went to this bar on my birthday after picking my friend up at the Huntsville airport. It was decently close and the street was filled with people. There were police standing directly outside of the bar so it felt like if I walked out and tripped, I would get arrested for being drunk. As soon as we walk up to the door, the bouncer denies us entry without even checking ID because he says our pants were too baggy. Everyone walking around looked like lil baby in skinny jeans, no one had collared shirts on, slacks or anything decent, we figured we were fine. This is the most racist place I have ever been in my entire life. I was there on a Saturday night and I was with a black man. During the Macarena, of all dances in 2024, this man was told he was not doing the dance well enough and he was kicked out of the entire establishment. The "DJ" Mickey, called out only black man standing on the dance floor and kicked him out for not knowing the Macarena well enough. First of all, this isn't Coachella 2016, you're 40+ DJing at a college bar get your ego in check. Second of all, he WAS dancing perfectly fine, IT'S THE MACARENA. He is so kind and handled this situation very well but to experience this is absolutely appalling. The security guards even admitted to not understanding the reasoning but they had to do their job (they could've just not but whatever). I absolutely loved this place! It's a great combination of a country bar with hip hop music that's blared more loudly at around 9:30-10:00PM. The security ID checker was very cordial and extremely professional and asked me very nicely if he could check me just like the TSA agents do. You would think that in this new works obsessed with " safety" that people would welcome this added layer of security and keeping everyone "safe". Not some of the reviewers below who like to wallow in their own self pity and try to blame ask their shortcomings ( including dressing like a bum or like a gang member) on the world I am a combat veteran and have been stationed, trained and fought alongside soldiers and airmen of ALL colors and can assure you this car welcomes patrons will are white, black, brown, yellow, purple and all shades in between. It was a very diverse group and everyone was wearing appropriate clothing and headwear. If they didn't, they would simply house hand to go home or to the store and change - regardless of the color of their skin! I've worked high end and VIP security over the years: myself keeping top performers like Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and various ESPN sideline reporters safe, and even worked right alongside Secret service, and can expressly assure you that the bartenders , hosts, security staff and even the cleaning crew are top notch and professional. The music is good ( with the exception of the nasty Carti B song they unfortunately played) , the dance floor is kind is small but lots of people join in and the drinks are good but get there early because later in the night it took me over 10 minutes to get a drink at the bar I just moved here from Arizona and love this place. I've been to a quite a good amount of bars and let me tell you this place is horrible. First off, when I go to a bar I am wanting to have fun. I wasn't allowed into the bar because my pants were ripped, granted the rip is a bit promiscuous but nothing different from the tiny shorts that the women wear. Honestly, the man was disgusting and being prejudiced against me for being gay. When I went inside with my friends after changing clothes, it was clear that this establishment was far different from the more upscale ones I had attended. All the employees were rude and didn't seem like they were having fun. The atmosphere was thrown off from their horrendous attitudes. One fun tidbit is that they have a mechanical bull. Their drinks weren't that great as I could barely taste the alcohol. They only accept cash and they have even more dress codes. I came to a bar, not a catholic high school. the bartender that is usually on the far left closest to the beer pong tables is the worst bartender i've ever experienced in my life. I asked her for drinks 2 times and then after being skipped for another persons orders both times i then asked FOUR MORE TIMES to just close my tab. finally after waiting 10 more minutes after asking her the 4th time to close out she finally brought me my card. I get that bartenders are always at 100 mph all night but the other 3 bartenders are no where near as bad. Nor are any other bartenders i've ever seen. The bouncers at this place are, for lack of better words, jerks. Two weekends in a row, the same bouncer has ruined my friends night. Just last weekend, I was at the ATM pulling out cash for cover for my friend group. One of the guys was checked in, and waiting for the cash to pay his cover. He leaned back against a pole (did not take a step downstairs) and the bouncer kicked him out. I calmly tried to deescalate the situation, and explain that my friend was waiting for my cash. The bouncer started yelling, kicked both my boyfriend and friend out. This is our new favorite place to go. We were denied entry to Sammy ts twice while having a black male in our presence. So we went across the street and we found this bar. This is SO MUCH NICER AND CLEANER than Sammy ts. We acknowledged that upon entering. A girl bumped me and I spilled my drink. The security cleaned it up right then and the super sweet bartender made me a new drink on the house. I told them they didnt have to do that. I was beyind pleased and happy to spend my money here. Fun spot to go to downtown if you like loud country music. This is a bar that mostly serves for the younger people of Huntsville. It offers a bull you can ride on, pool tables and beer pong! I went on a Wednesday evening, which they had .25 cent pitchers of Bud Light..not bad. The place was packed and mostly a sausage fest, so if you are trying to talk to a girl or two you might want to go somewhere else. The staff seemed snobby which did not surprise me. Usually, when I travel to Huntsville Alabama, I always find myself downtown at Whiskey Bottoms, Millers, or some local establishments. Even when I had a bad experience at Whiskey Bottoms this New Year 2020 after buying a VIP area for New Year Party and I never receiving my champagne, the owner's wife handled the situation with class! BUT, and I use the word "BUT" intentionally after last night, I am very disappointed with the level of customer service that I received at this establishment. One of the security workers at this club wrapped him around my neck in a chokehold. He tugged on my neck as he forced me up a flight of stairs. Pushing me from behind person out of the establishment. No force, on my part, was used against anyone in the club or towards him. I immediately went to the police officers outside to file a report. This type of behavior is uncalled for in any situation. Bouncers do not have the legal right to engage in violence or force as they see fit. I sure hope that the owners review this situation and their protocol. This place, along with its other two related establishments (Millers Tavern and Fubar) is a terrible business. I left my debit card there by mistake about a week ago and have called all three establishments countless times to ask about getting it back, but no one will answer. I've now emailed twice, once again with no answer. I also went in and was told that Millers Tavern handles all lost items, so I went there and kindly asked the bartender if they had my card. She was incredibly rude, basically shooing my friend and me out of the bar. As she was looking for my card, I tried to describe what it looked like to ease her search and she snapped at me and implied that I needed to be quiet and was disturbing her search/taking time away from paying customers. I ended up leaving without my card even though I know it's there, because she essentially decided she didn't want to look anymore. So, back to the drawing board I guess. I'm most likely going to have to cancel a card that isn't lost because the employees here are so useless. I work in the service industry and if any of my employees were a fraction as incompetent as the workers of these establishments, they would be jobless in a heartbeat. No wonder it was so empty when I went in...you can get alcohol at any bar, but it's the service that keeps people coming back, and the service here is exactly why I will not be coming back. read more
