The walls are a little thin and you may hear your neighbors once in awhile but everyone is very considerate and quiet for the most part, especially after 10pm when it is quiet time. The backyard is wonderful for get togethers, gardening, and socializing, plus there are the tennis courts and walking paths. The staff is amazing and feel like family! Doug, is maintenance, and Hillary the manager are wonderful to work with and great neighbors! I will miss my "Riverwalk Family"!

Beware of this landlord! I went a year without a kitchen light, dealing with black mold, in…read moremultiple places, kitchen faucet sprays water everywhere. When she bought this place three years ago, she updated her unit and left the other three in complete disarray. The only thing she does to the units is paying them and once in a while, she'll put new carpet however, she flooded my second bedroom with her outside hose Spicket and told me it was an emergency just let it dry. Then, after having a leak and rotor router told her there was damage to the pipe between the walls. She told me that that was an emergency neither and the new carpet is wet again, and if a plumber is needed, be prepared because he will cover the her cost. She will bill you and charge you a late fees, if you do not paid her Roto-Rooter bill, she has an incompetent business partner Steve. Doesn't pay for snow removal or plowing when it's in the lease that she is responsible for those. I don't know how many days of work I have been missed by tenants and slip and falls in her parking lot. Jon was rude one time to the staff, her name is Lisa, she is the manager. She called him asking for money that was already paid. She was clueless, so he matched her energy and she did not like it. Other than that, Jon was not rude to the staff. Lisa was also extremely rude to me. During my time, my ex was abusive and going through a dispute with me over the tenancy. I enlisted the help of Lisa, who went to her boss. When I followed up, Lisa said "My boss told me to stay out of it". I could not BELIEVE that response. I was just trying to get guidance and support as I took over the rental payments again. Lisa did not care, she would have none of it. So when I noticed people putting furniture in the dumpsters(a violation of the lease), I didn't tell Lisa. I decided to stay out of it. This place is not great. They have had several maintenance staff issues, and they had three managers before I moved in. The turnover is ridiculous. The rent is incredibly high. I remember paying my rent one time(admittedly late), and Lisa still sent me a summons. So I called her, and she told me "What is going on? What are they doing in that attorneys office". Lisa was completely clueless. My property manager was completely clueless. She told me she had been doing property management for 35 years, yet I don't understand why she still finds new situations or the job challenging.

Downsides: BIG spiders on my bedroom windows (won't even open any of my windows, because they find a way to get inside through the screens) and all outside of my balcony. Have tried spraying for them but it doesn't help. They also hang (literally) around the entrance door to get inside of the building...this is due to the woods and ponds around the community. The apartment is a bit pricey (currently paying $800 for an oversized one bedroom). Chris in the office is wonderful and so is Phillip the maintenance guy.

I've been living at Water's Edge Apartments for a little over nine months now. I moved here for…read morework and rented the apartment sight unseen because it had an extremely impressive score on "apartmentratings.com". I've been very happy with my apartment, nothing has required maintenance except for a leak a few days ago which was fixed within the hour since it was considered an emergency. No major issues and anytime I brought up a minor issue in conversation the office staff always offered to put in a ticket and I would turn them down. The original office staff of four ended up leaving completely and there was a period of churn until they secured a new permanent manager and maintenance folks. I've never lived anywhere that didn't have office turnover so that wasn't terribly surprising. The original staff of Heather and Brittiany (not a typo) were awesome. Heather was the best apartment manager I've ever had. The new crew of Melissa and Jinny (not a typo) are also really great. I haven't spent as much time around them but they are very friendly and helpful, I have zero complaints. The grounds are very nice, a few lakes with fish and visiting geese, ducks and bullfrogs. I saw some ducks grow up this summer and they'll walk around me if my puppy isn't around which is cool, not sure if that's normal for ducks or not. The dog park is very large, definitely the largest I've ever seen at an apartment complex. Lots of neighbors with dogs who visit the park (and who aren't jerks) so my puppy gets a lot of exercise and socialization. You can also walk to Horrocks easily which is a great perk. I like this side of town and most of the places I actually like are a short drive away. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this complex. As with anywhere you ever live, please actually read your lease. Things like the procedure for moving out, charges for damage, those are all important and you need to know if you agree with them before you sign. Thanks for reading.

A woman came out from a door walk past us when to her office then came back out to provide no information regarding our original inquiry. We were told they "don't have any one bedroom units available at all" though they're advertised on every apartment site... and It was confirmed/scheduled because we were told there were openings. We accepted what was said and confirmed a 2 bedroom would still be within our budget. "Sorry there are no openings for those either". We were even flexible with the date she gave us in the future still nothing not even a brochure! We were taken back by the service and lack of information as renters. I don't know if it was because we are a younger black couple or why anyone would be so withholding of information that we scheduled to have provided. I digress, we've now found a beautiful property with wonderful staff. Just unfortunate a nice property has rude people.
