The beds were comfortable, the kitchen, fridge and stove allowed us to prepare meals (we didn't use the grill outside but would have if we weren't touring so much). We appreciated the TV with cable, the "living room area" and the covered porch area where my wife sat out and had her coffee each morning. This spot was perfect for day trips to Custer State Park, The Mammoth Site, Mount Rushmore, Deadwood and so many others. The only minor issue we experienced was that we came during an unprecedented heat wave, and there's one air conditioner for the whole unit. They do provide fans, but this meant we couldn't close doors at night without rooms getting warm. All pretty minor and not something that would matter during normal seasonal temps. We'd definitely recommend this place. It is very affordable and provides plenty of room for your family.

The entire campground feels brand new and is impeccably maintained. We had a creek running just behind our site so it was beautiful to sit beside it or hear it when we went to go to sleep. There are only 18 sites so it a little slice of heaven. I advise that you make your reservations early. Bathrooms are private and they have complimentary hot showers. Immaculately clean. There is a small clubhouse where you can sit and watch tv, make some coffee, play foosball, use the microwave, etc. This is a place we will come back to and revisit again and again! Pretty impressive. Nice little general store as well, a pool and a very nice area for the kids to play at. They sell propane, almost anything you need. Definitely have to get some homemade pie from the Purple Pie House, blueberry, apple and bumbleberry were delicious warmed ip with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream! The Claw Antler & Hide store had very unique and cool items bought antler whistles for the grandkids. Had the best buffalo burger at Black Hills Burger and Bun but go early its very popular!
