    Jubalee Beach Park

    Jubalee Beach Park

My family and I, spent 3 years at this park, and I would never recommend it to anyone else…read more The sites are large, but they are extremely wet the the beginning of the season, and it takes almost July to dry out. So bad that our 1st year at the park, we parked our car on our site - of course the only logical thing to do, right? Well we got our Jetta stuck on our site!!! It was pathetic, our wheels were filthy, full of mud. Only to have the owners" wife come by and make a remark that it will cost us $$ to get a tow and she rushed to get her husband. My husband was appalled that all she could think about was money in their pockets... After all we were new to their park and had paid our fee's - they didn't care to help us... Lucky for us our neighbours saw we were in trouble and everyone pushed our car out of the mud, out of our site. Only to have her husband then give us a hard time about the tire treads on the grass.. Really!, like we planned to do that to our car, which is worth more then tire treads left on the grass. IF the owner took care of the sites to reduce the wetness, and made sure he told people who had never camped in his park before, what to expect maybe this could have been avoided... The owners are just looking to make a quick buck, whenever they can. And they make any transaction difficult with almost every camper in the park. I can go on, and on.....but it wont change anything but maybe this will be helpful to others, considering this park.

We were disappointed that the Nature center was "closed for the season." We were also disappointed that beach swimming was closed due to high bacteria levels. We enjoyed getting ice cream cones in the camp store which was run by really helpful park staff. Our kids loved the trail that parallels the water, and it was neat to see a lighthouse up close. I will say that the mosquitoes were terrible, so don't go without an ample supply of bug spray. Also, the raccoons in this park are BOLD and cheeky. Keep your food and trash out of reach of the critters. Overall, though, it was a beautiful park.

My wee family has been exploring. I went to Presqu'ile Provincial Park on a day pass and enjoyed a short, family-friendly hike and a swim on the sandy beach. It was a lovely day! The water was warm at the end of June (miracle!) and the park is doing a wonderful job implementing social distancing. I highly recommend the daytrip. So many bonus points for the chip trucks at the entrance. Chip truck poutine is always five stars.

Four Mile Creek State Park, New York I found this campground…read moreon Https://parks.ny,gov as I was planning a trip, a lifelong goal, to see Niagara Falls. I chose Four Mile Creek State Park for its proximity to the Falls, and nearby attractions like Fort Niagara, an Aquarium, the Niagara Power Vista, and the Underground Railroad Heritage Center, to name a few. This camp offers a shuttle service to these places, no need to worry about parking! I was welcomed by a cheerful office staff and given a map for the Niagara Falls State Park. I went to my site 13, it was nicely shaded and I had access to 30amp service and water a few sites away. The bathrooms & showers were clean and had access to washer/dryer. I met lots of nice people and the weather was great. (6/1 to 6/8) Every member of staff I encountered was friendly and accommodating. Shout out to maintenance staff, Mike, the shuttle driver and Tim, manning the Camp Store. In fact, Tim even circulates the campground every night after the store is closed with ice & firewood. I visited the Falls, walking all over the American side then walked across the bridge to Canada for lunch observing the Canadian side of the Falls. But my favorite thing about this whole journey was the sunsets on Lake Ontario. On clear nights, the city of Toronto is visible. Every night campers would drift down to the field on the lake to watch the sunset. It was the most mesmerizing thing, many different people connecting with this beautiful world.

That could be hard on some peoples feet. I didn't go swimming as I wasn't sure about the water quality. But I did see several people swimming. It's a nice place but there were lots of mosquitoes around. Hubby got bitten so many times that his legs got swollen. The gift shop is quite small with no where to sit inside to get out of the heat. There is one handicap washroom at the gift shop & some picnic benches outside of the gift shop. The washroom near the beach was okay for a pubic park washroom. It was super hot in there though. All the windows were closed so all the heat stayed trapped inside. Not sure if I would come back here. They need shower facilities near the beach but there weren't any in the area I visited.

"Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a fairy tale."…read more Coach House Weddings and As it Happens Photography has made our Wedding Dream a Reality! We purchased the 'Everything but the Dress' package and it was truly a stress-free process. Andrea and John have been truly wonderful to work with, very responsive to messages, and very accomodating to our requests. About 3 months before the Wedding Day, we had an Engagement Photo Session, and the photos were so beautiful we used one for our wedding invitations! On the Big Day, the venue was so beautiful, the cake was delightful, the hors d'oeuvres were plenty and delicious! Andrea has perfectly captured our wedding colors through the cake, boutonnieres, and the bridal party bouquets which were just stunning to look at! John was excellent, and he also put some humor into the ceremony! He worked with me in outlining the ceremony, as well as my music choices (I have given him too many music selections!). The ceremony was amazing and everything went smoothly! Andrea has kept me up-to-date with all developments with the wedding planning. She made sure everything was perfect! She took beautiful photos throughout the day, before the ceremony in the bridal suite, during the ceremony (capturing all the most precious moments), and after the ceremony for portraits with the family. She made sure all the guests were happy and taken care of. As a bride on her wedding day, it could be easy to forget some moments as the day goes by really fast, and it could get overwhelming, but the photos have made me remember how magical the day was, and the experience made me really say to myself: 'I do not want this day to end'. Andrea and John, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for making our dream day perfect! We will never forget how wonderful our wedding day was! I highly recommend Coach House Weddings for your beautiful and intimate Wedding Day!

John and Andrea were incredibly nice and accommodating to what we wanted our wedding to be. The wedding package that we chose took care of the entire ceremony for us... we just had to show-up in our attire and enjoy ourselves. We gave Andrea our colors, met with the baker, Katherine Lima, to chose our cake and chose to include the Ilaria Duet as our musical option, but beyond that, we didn't have to do much. John was phenomenal and made the entire ceremony flow very smoothly. Andrea, along with her assistant, captured the entire day for us in photographs; we have so many amazing pictures to choose from for our wedding album. To our surprise, there were 2 videographers present as well to capture the ceremony in video. We are very happy to give Coach House Weddings such an awesome review and hope to see many more happy memories being made with Andrea and John.
