They didn't show up as scheduled and when they did, would work an hour or two and continued to ask for money. We paid half on the day they started the work. Because they showed up late in the evening, and not every day, it took weeks for them to complete cutting the trees down and grounding the stumps. However, they asked for money consistently. Neighbors who inquired with them while working at my home, they would stop working my job and started working on their job (so they had several jobs going at the same time). They were paid in full after the stumps were grounded, and the only thing left was for them to fill the holes and seed (which they never return to do). They also offered to sell and plant a tree, which I'm glad I didn't do since my neighbor gave them money for that and they never returned and stopped responding to their messages. Ashamed that it ended this way, since they had an opportunity to make a lot of business in the neighborhood, but due to their lack of promptness, speed of completion, and taking people's money and never delivering, I cannot give them a good review (he does seem to know about trees but something else is going on that is troubling?)

Dishonest Reprobates - Left without completeing job after taking $1700 payment…read moreOn or about 11/7/2019 I verbally contracted with William Luttrell of Luttrell's Tree Service LLC to remove 5 trees and trim 2 others, and remove all wood and brush for $1700. I paid half up front and was to pay the rest on completion. After 2 days all trees were trimmed and felled except for one large one that was left with half still standing. His wife came to me crying saying they really needed more money. I foolishly gave her a check for the rest. He now refuses to answer my phone calls and has not returned. He also attempted to block all efforts to contact him by blocking my phone. After checking with MD Licensing they don't seem to be licensed in MD and I have initiated and investigation by Maryland Department of Natural Resources, and I'll be filing a law suit in small claims court when the investigation is complete. To date, 12/17/19 they have not completed the job. It is extremely difficult for an elderly couple (72 yrs old & 68 yrs old) on a fixed income to lose that much money. In addition I can't physically complete the work myself. I will now have to spend more money to finish the horrible mess these dishonest reprobates left after taking my money.
