On my first visit she made me aware that I would have to pay before treatment even though I was recommended by UHC that Dr. Guarino was apreffered provider. I paid out of pocket for the first four visits and after the fifth I asked the desk how would be reimbursed after the insurance company did pay, which UHC did.. She told me that UHC had not paid them in five years and she didn't anticpate that ever happening. I checked my account at UHC online later that day, and lo and behold they had paid the acceptable amount for the first three visits and the four was being reviewed. I stopped going to this facility after seeing this, and waited until now to verify that UHC had paid for all five visits which they had. The office has made no attempt to correct their error.

I was told a treatment plan would be developed, yet the only recommendation at follow-up was 10 chiropractic adjustments over four weeks. Other services offered by the office, like acupuncture, massage therapy, shockwave therapy, or dry needling, were never discussed. There was also a strong focus on my prescribed pain management that felt dismissive of my medical history. Chronic pain is complex and requires a thoughtful, individualized approach, which I did not experience here. I will not be returning.
